A safety must!
We have a mat in front of the fireplace on a polished wood floor. Our son had been nagging me to get a non slip underlay for it since we were always sliding about on it and the dog rucked it up several times a day. I finally gave in and bought this underlay. Luckily it fitted the rug perfectly with no need to trim. (Although it would be dead easy to trim if needed with a pair of scissors.) It is very simple to use, just place it where the mat is to go and lay the mat on top. It does the job perfectly. The nagging has stopped and I'm confident we will not slip over. The dog no longer rucks it up. Full marks!

Sorry did not work for me
Tried this stuff on a hard floor to hold a mat, did'nt work, then on a carpet and a mat, still did'nt work, sorry I had high hopes.
