VIPERADEPJ26 Full Grain Cowhide Leather Grade A Tooling Leather Square 2.0mm Thick for Crafts Handmake, Crafts Tooling Sewing (Brown, 12×12 in)

I bought the TUO 8" Chinese chef's knife - great knife but it didn't come with a sheath. None of the sheaths offered on Amazon were big enough for the 8" knife. I bought this leather, the rivets and the snaps all for $33. I checked into having a custom made sheath and they were $100 to $200. There are several videos on Youtube that show how to form the leather.

It's a fine leather, but it doesn't hold a stamp very well. I made a knife sheath out of it. It worked fantastic for that. For a project such as that, or other small projects, this leather works great, and I recommend it. If you're new to the leather craft, this will work great for you too.

Seems to be high quality full-grain cowhide leather. Package includes a swatch 6” x 12” and has a nice Matt finish. It is smooth on one side and suede on the bottom side.We are experimenting with engraving leather. We had great success with brown leather belts and wanted a darker color for a specific project. We were able to get nice detail,with the engraver. We are planning to use the engraved piece on a toolbox we are making. It’s going to look great.We have enough left for a couple more projects. Contemplating on making a couple luggage tags, key rings and another tool box plate.The leather came package in a sealed ziploc bag and didn’t have a strong smell. High quality project and final design looks great!

This was awful, it had a huge stamp in the middle of it that is not shown when pictured. Wasted money buying it.

It is very thick, and has an extremely smooth surface with virtually no texture. The coloring (dye) of the surface is very even, no light or dark spots anywhere in the 6x12 inch piece. The piece is very soft and pliable, and yet feels very tough. It would be perfect for any small project. In my case, my son has plans to use it for a woodworking project he is currently undertaking. Even the price is reasonable, at about $12 for the single piece.

I have bought 5 different kinds of leather on Amazon and this Viperade 6"x12" piece of black full grain cowhide leather I received through the Vine program is by far the best piece of leather I've gotten yet.The surface is perfectly smooth, with no imperfections at all. The deep black finish has absolutely no variation. The leather is smooth and supple with a very nice thickness to it. It's very easy to work with.The price of this swatch of leather is very reasonable and the price for the 12"x12" is even better. I feel like I really found a gem with this brand and I will definitely be ordering more for future projects!

I am very pleased with my order of the Viperade PJ26 Full Grain Cowhide Leather Grade A. This leather piece arrived in excellent condition. It was securely packaged in a plastic bag that is suitable for storage of the piece while it's being worked. This is a great quality thick leather. My piece has been evenly dyed and looks fantastic. This is ideal for me to use for crafting a sturdy strap handle. I found that the piece is the size as advertised. I needed an extra piece of leather for a project I've been working on. This was the perfect size piece and just what I was needing. The quality and feel of the leather is nice. The weight of the leather is sturdy enough. It has movement but is not flimsy by any means. It did have the leather smell when it arrived, which I don't mind. The price is affordable so I definitely would recommend this brand.

Product came with a rip in the suede part. The leather part was in good condition. I will not return because I am still somewhat satisfied with this purchase but careful with the handling.
