Q: What size would you recommend for someone who is 5'11 tall? And will this pass as unisex?

It really depends on where you want the length. Down just past your knees, or maybe more calf level. I am 5'10'' and purchased a different one. (Terry Cloth Robe 100% Cotton Terry Kimono Bathrobe Terry Kimono Collar Spa Robe) in large and it comes down to my calves. My fiancee' chose the robe you are asking about. We are both quite happy with them. I really don't see a difference in unisex other than the length...my opinion is..your choice.

Q: Is this warm enough to go from locker room to pool in winter?

It is a short robe, so your knees could get quite cold if the temperature is low, but it is substantial in weight and provides some warmth.

Q: Does it have a hook loop

Yes it has a hook loop. It also has an inside tie which is great while wearing. This is one of the nicest robes I have ever owned.

Not a good idea:(Next time just dab a little bleach on a Qtip ever so LIGHTLY Til you see the difference, especially on a white garment
