Novel experience
I have never had mirchi ka salan from a restaurant, so I can't say if this is authentic. But I liked it, it was a new taste to me, and it pairs well with a rice dish.

Excellent salan just like you get in south india.
Very good salan just like you get in south india with biryani. Oil content may be high for some people, but genuine salan has good amount of oil. I loved it.

Too Tangy.
Though it is easy to cook and has chilly part of the 'Ready to cook' its not at all spicy. As it comes in twin pack, so after cooking the first one which was a nightmare, added chilly powder to the second one which definitely tasted better than the tangy flavor.
