Gets the job done!
Pictured are a pair of Timberland clogs which I bought in 2007 or 2008. It’s now 2024 and these shoes have served me as house slippers and errand-runners for many years. Recently, the seam on the side of the left one popped open. I thought for sure these must be goners by now, but I decided instead to try a self-help measure first. Enter Boot Bond, a strong adhesive similar to superglue. Boot Bond saved these otherwise fine clogs from the landfill. I was able to patch up the torn seam in no time and keep on going. The result doesn’t look particularly aesthetic but I didn’t really care about that since these are my house shoes. Had a I ten more time, I could have made the repair look better. I found the glue easy to apply and pretty fast-drying. Note that if it gets on your fingers it can be hard to remove, just like superglue. I also used the Boot Bond to fix some of my canvas sneakers where the sidewalls were separating a little from the upper. With those I took more time to make sure it didn’t look messy since I wear those out. Overall, Boot Bond is an excellent product that will help keep perfectly good shoes out of the landfill by repairing areas that need it. I always turn to boot bond before deciding that a shoe or boot has reached the end of its lifespan. Very highly recommended.

Excellent product
Excellent product it works. Just remember to clean the surface area and use sandpaper so that the glue works.

Bonds quickly and securely
This stuff bonds quickly make sure to wear gloves and use something made of hard plastic to push together what you are bonding. If you get it on your gloves they will stick to your shoe or whatever and is very difficult to remove. I used a guitar pick the 3rd time because a piece of my glove stuck to my shoe the 1st 2 times. But works better than expected.

Strong, Fast and Effective
I ordered this to glue the souls of my 30 year old Birkenstocks back in place. It worked very quickly and it seems to be holding. Be aware a little goes a long way! Any you get on your skin is not coming off easily. And any you get on your clothes is there to stay. I got some on my hand and quickly wiped off what i could. Soap and water had no effect. Then I tried alcohol and acetone but nothing worked to remove it from my skin. it took a couple of days to finally wear off. The dried glue can look white so be careful how and where you use it.

Great Product
Very happy to say that I've used this bonding agent on shoes that had split in two places and they are now back in service. NYC eats shoes. These are good quality and very comfortable, though several years old. I was motivated to try this home repair because finding a pair of comfy shoes is difficult for me. One foot is super wide due to a bunion. The upper leather had parted from the sole at the widest point. Also the sole itself had cracked, which I had not noticed, until I walked in the rain and water got in. The cracked sole seemed like an easy fix, though the crack was at a flex point but I was not sure the side leather would stay bonded to the sole. There was virtually no margin for the upper to adhere to. But EVERYTHING IS FIXED! Walking around in the shoes has NOT re-opened the crack/split. The bond holds. Every home should have one of these little tubes handy. Saved me many dollars for shoe repair, or worse, buying new shoes. A great product.

The best glue for tennis shoes or leather/plastic shoes
It works perfectly and quick. 1 minute press in all right places- check for the rim and applied more glue and/or pressure.

It is plain old CA glue under a different label
First, I used it as directed on two different pairs of shoes that I was about to throw away so figured I would try to save them. The product seemed to adhere to the shoe material fairly well and when I released my hold after holding for twice the amount of time in the directions, it held together quite well except where there was any gap. That was when I said to myself this acts like CA glue so looked at the label and sure enough cyanoacrylate, also known as super glue. I had considered using CA glue for the job because I have some sitting on my desk, but I know from experience that it does not fill gaps so was considering an epoxy but bought this because I hoped it would be even better than either of the above. So basically I bought something I already had, this appears to be CA Medium with a special label and a jacked up price. As far as the repair, I will wait a few days to flex the repaired seams and if they hold together, try on and wear the shoe. My expectation is low, as CA glue doesn't handle flexing of the two bonded materials very well. My guess is they will survive a single low wear low impact no moisture wearing, which would make this a good product for repairing that pair of dress shoes for the cousin's wedding before the shoes go back in the closet for another year.

Works well for a lot more than shoes.
I have used this to repair my favorite, comfy flip flops when the sole started coming away. I wear them so much that they are just about done now, but the soles are both firmly in place. However, I have used this to stick so many things and every time it amazes me how quickly it sets and how firmly and permanently it holds. I’ve just ordered another bottle because mine is almost finished. This week I laid a LVP floor, which is floating, meaning it needs a gap around the edges which must be finished with quarter round trim. Because it abuts tiles, I couldn’t use nails, so I tried liquid nails. Thirty minutes later I removed the weights and parts of the trim sprang away from the wall. I tried this ‘shoe bond’ and after holding it for about 1 minute it was stuck fast with no more waiting and no cleanup as I had with liquid nails glue that squeezed onto the tiles. I highly recommend this glue for many jobs!
