Great product fit and finish. Easy to install and operate. Very sturdy and hard to open by toddlers. Used to block deck stairs from young grandson and dog.

Excellent quality, excellent price, prime shipping, very simple to install, sturdy rust proof construction, latches strong...its a simple and extremely well built and well designed gate. I use it exactly as pictured to contain my dogs to the porch and it works great for my entire pack. A 16 lbs. Jack Russell, 45 lbs. English Bull Terrier, and an 85 lbs. Black Lab. The little one can't get through it and it's tall enough that the big ones don't challenge it either. It has a large impact on our entire quality of life. Having a contained space outdoors serves as the perfect transition area for going out and coming back in. We can pause there and put our leashes on very calmly with no more "bolting out of the door" the second it opens. If they get dirty outside I can contain them on the porch while I wash and dry them before heading inside. I didn't realize I could feel so excited about a gate!

This gate was far better than I expected, and installing it was not overly difficult. You will most likely want to use a cordless drill. Purchased for an awkward deck entrance on my apartment building, and found it was versatile enough to fit with just a bit of fiddling. Very pleased with the end result!As this was a purchase to keep my dog in, I did not need the child lock and decided to take it off. A word of warning--be committed to the gate before attempting this, as it was obviously manufactured by an evil genius who is robbing the world of its sanity, one gate at a time. It took longer to take the lock off than install the gate, and I managed to beat up the paint and bend the part in the process (it straightened back out without issue).If not for the maddening child-lock removal, I would have given this gate 5 stars without hesitation. However, I just spent half an hour cursing at it, so 4 stars it is! Great gate, though! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a wall-mounted install, indoors or out :)

Very sturdy and has he’s up well

Ran across this while searching for a sturdy, permanent gate to use on our deck for dog containment. Our railing posts are Trex 4x4s (ie avoiding: heavy construction and pressure fit gates), and the location where we need the gate is on a diagonal between posts. This went in very easily (as one other review notes: USE A LEVEL). It looks good, operates smoothly and doesn't have issues with the offset between end-posts. I wound up putting a thin piece of nomex between the expansion rails so that the set-screws didn't 'sink' so deeply, but that was the only off-book adjustment I needed. Bada bing- and done.

Used this gate to replace a worn out wooden gate on our deck. This gate looks great, got it in the brown to match our deck color. Install was a bit tricky as some of the instructions there was guess work. After install was pretty sturdy. When putting in the set screws make sure the gate is latched. If not, gate will move and gate will not match to close. The latch took a little learning to operate and pull gate up to open. Lift gate up to latch and lock. Use the supplied one way bracket if installing the gate on a stair so it only opens inward to prevent possible falling. Gate is good and satisfied with quality and operation.

The Good: Construction is good, well made.The Bad: the color is well, ugly. It is a baby poop brown at best. Kind of a light brown orangish color. We are going to see is we can paint it darker.It is not hard to install but probably easier with 2 people. Definitely need a motorized screw driver unless you are unbelievably strong. There are a lot of parts that could be preassembled and that would be very helpful.The WORST is the latch. It is the most ridiculous design! If you are not opening and closing very often, I guess it's fine. Unfortunately, we do use it a lot so we are looking at other latches as a replacement. Also, it has to be aligned perfectly to "lift and close" easily.So, I would suggest different color and different latch.
