Hold base collar while tightening
My first order from Blue Jeans Cable (BJC) and I'm sold. Well made, sound great and more affordable than high end audiophile luxury cables. I needed some good quality cables with spades on the amp side and bi-wire banana terminations to connect them to some vintage EPOS ES11 speakers. The EPOS only take bananas and the hole is rather small so I ordered the BJC Canare 4S11 cables with locking bananas. The key to getting these to lock is to insert the banana fully then hold the knurled base of the termination (see where the pencil is pointing in my photo) with one hand while turning the top knurled collar near bananas clockwise with your other hand. This pushes a tab in that expands the banana and locks it in while it's fully seated. Do the reverse when removing. I mention this b/c of reviews where guys said the bananas would fall out, that's b/c they didn't know how to tighten the locking mechanism.

Excellent for the money...
They are not the best in the world, but they're the best in their price range. :)

Constructed well, name brand components, ultra secure connectors. Trustworthy company..
Well constructed, custom lengths and components if ordered directly from BJC's site. Name brand, high quality components. I especially like the connectors. If you want to try bi-wiring, I can't think of a better company than Blue Jeans Cable.I looked at a lot of bi-wire cables from a number of companies before buying these. Some are 'prettier' and also use the Canare 4S11 wire I was looking for but in the end, it was the published specs and ultrasonically welded (not soldered) connections and expandable/locking banana plugs that sold me.All things considered, this and other BJC products are likely to result in long term reliability and best possible performance. I'd also *highly* recommend their video cables especially for the sometimes problematic world of custom PC's used for video editing, gaming and 4k video playback. The connector collars can be unscrewed and lowered which completely exposes the welded connections. You can see for yourself how the wire is welded to the connector. This will also make cleaning quick and easy. For more configuration options, check out BJC's website. If you have a specific need (custom lengths, connector options, etc.), chances are they'll be able to provide. This is a company that seems to have engineers on staff or is otherwise heavily influenced by engineers, not marketers. This is a good thing for the customer. Their customer service is second to none in my experience. I've emailed several times and always received solid information and guidance. Some of their cables even come with certs.Their website is worth browsing if only to take advantage of the information they provide. It's an educational resource I'd recommend to everyone but especially for those that are new to the world of audio/ video hardware and ready to spend.Side note: focus on measured specs when reading reviews of all audio products, not just interconnects. When reviews contain a lot of superlatives, this is a red flag. Further, when reading subjective reviews of audio recordings and the hardware used to listen to audio, read very skeptically. If the writer is a middle aged man, it may be that he can't hear much beyond about 10kHz. Men tend to lose their ability to hear high frequencies from a fairly young age. The ~20Hz to ~20kHz range most of us are born with doesn't last long. The 'sparkling highs' a reviewer mentions may mean up to ~8kHz given that this is the limit of what he can hear. Tinnitus can get in the way too, a very common and maddening affliction.Examples of listening experience superlatives for audio products are below. These were pulled from a quick google search. All red flags. Use caution when exploring the audiophile world. It's definitely a rabbit hole that has claimed more than it's share of victims.super fast bassorganic palpabilitytextured but smooth trebledetailed bassairy midrangeharmonic texturesrefined soundstage and insightincredibly lush liquiditysense of immediacyfluidity and dynamic flaircoherent and well-structuredquietness around instrumentssophisticated temperament

Audiophile grade speaker cables
Blue Jeans Cable speaker cables are excellent! Great build quality. The banana plug locking mechanism is also an excellent way to secure the banana pin into the plug on your speakers.

Cleaner voice
I did not expect to be over whelmed but I gotta say, right outta the package these bi-wire cables w/locking banana ends noticeablly improved the voice. The high end seems smoother and the bass is a little richer. The should burn in and be better compared to my Signal Cable Classic cables.Lastly,I really question using a bi-wire and or if the help.I will say these are a vast improvement by using a bi-wire compared to the jumpers that came with my speakers.

Nice! For sure!!
I have to say I was a little skeptical of buying speaker cables for this price however I got to say it's such a beautiful looking cable really well-constructed the banana plugs everything really strong such a nice great cable nothing cheap about it!however I didn't really listen to it very long maybe about 40 minutes compared to the other cables I had before and those cables were the silverback speaker cables that you can buy on here as well start a lot cheaper do I notice a difference in sound quality no not really over the silverbacks however with the silverbacks I've had it happen to me five times where the tip of the banana plugs would snap off and it would just be ridiculous it's a very cheaply made banana plug on those cables and if I had to compare which one looks better which one is heavier and which one is more well-constructed with better banana plugs I would say the blue jeans cables here are definitely better. But in sound quality the same! but I wouldn't buy these tables over the silver back thinking they will sound a lot better! But great product!I also like that they're welded cables to the plugs here!!

End Game Speaker Cables!
I’ve tried many ‘ high end’ speaker cables over the years, some costing considerably more than these. None of them sounded better and most were inferior build quality. The locking connectors on the Blue Jeans are of excellent quality, this was important to me since I’m continually changing speakers and amplification. Standard banana plugs tend to lose their tension if you’re unplugging them on a regular basis. If you’re looking for high quality speaker cables at a reasonable price buy the Blue Jeans!

Disappointed
I have used Blue Jean cables for years and have already been impressed with the quality of the cable until today. To my surprise when I tried hooking up my speakers I noticed that the banana plug would not lock. When I tried to hook up the second set (bi wire), the cable literally fell off. It doesn't appear that these cables were welded to the connector. As a result I will be sending these back to Amazon as I do not trust this brand any longer :(

Bi-wiring worth an upgrade
I bought these cables to try bi-wiring my speakers. I replaced entry level Cardas Crosslink speaker cables that were not bi-wired. There is a definite benefit to the bass that is deeper and better controlled. The highs and mid range benefit from a clearer signal not affected by the bass speaker. I am not sure how it compares to other bi-wired speaker cables so I think a lot of the benefit I am hearing is from the physical bi-wiring of the speakers. I am not sure how much of the actual cable and the ultrasonic welding help with the sound improvement. The cable and welding certainly do not seem to cause any negative colouring. There are bi-wired cable for less and certain many more that are more expensive. If you feel the price of these cables are reasonable then I would recommend them. If they are too expensive then definitely try any bi-wire cables you think are reasonably priced.
