The construction and clarity of the engineering ruler are excellent. The material is sturdy and represent a return to high quality. It is rare to find a metal rulers since most are now made of plastic. The ruler sturdy is but remains lightweight.

This tri ruler is something I couldn’t design without. I have issues with my eyes for various reasons and having a black background and white or bright fluorescent texts is so much easier to read rather than white background and black or dark texts colours so this ruler really is perfect for me and well made. I also use magnifiers to help with detailed measurements and I was able to see the sharp details of the etched in numbers and lines on each face of the ruler. Most of my design tools are Alvin products because of the quality but also their products just seem to work well with how I think. Well designed and well built design tools. I will no doubt purchase more Alvin products in the future.

This is nice, great material, I feel this will last a long time, definitely better than the plastic ones.

I’m freehand drawing an entire new habitable planet for creative benefit. Being consistent with scale is essential when designing a city of 634,590 not to mention the ocean routes. With this journey be 4 months? 4 months and 15 days? We have an economy to think about! How cramped can we actually make the squalid section to be minimally livable. Don’t get me started on the cave gnomes land disputes. With this ruler I was able to estimate my scale drawings, making them 1: replicable and 2: well scalable. Furthermore it needs mention that this a solid metal triangle. If you are attacked late at night and only have this in your pocket your assailant might take you for a nerd. But when you whip it out of your pocket and brandish like a wand he will be dumbfounded. The streetlights playing off its surface like a foreboding light show. He will be dazzled into stupor until he notices it only does scales of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. At which point you would yell: “you fool! I can use the 10 as any multiple of ten, the 50s can go ten if you think yourself capable of basic mathematics. But maybe that is expecting too much from a brute who assails 40 year old men going from the laundromat back to his apartment to get the quarters he forgot.” Then with a sneer: “or maybe I’ve just come from your mums house.” The crowd that wasn’t there but suddenly arrives so they can say:”oooohh sick burn!” After the assailant recovers from the mighty blow you then can then accurately rescale all the details of his face and body into a large poster that says:”I wish I had a 12” Intoy engineers triangle.” Oh I just noticed it doesn’t do inches. *throws a table* just kidding i love it.

Very sturdy, precise, clean looking, and accurate scaling aluminum ruler if you know how to use it. The laser engraved tic marks/numbers are very sleek looking, and easy to see. Most definitely an upgrade from a standard ruler. Would highly recommend! Even if you are not in an engineering, architecture, machining, or drafting focused career this can be very helpful for making accurate measurements for any task. Certainly a tool you will thank yourself later for adding to your arsenal. Very pleased!
