I've been to Las Vegas a couple of times, and so used this guide as a bit of a reminiscing journey, and to see if it is good at what is designed for, and that is to help you plan a trip to the city.In all respects, this is a great guide. The maps are excellent, and provide great detail for what you need. There are plenty of suggestions about what to do, and how to do it and over how many days you need. This book is truly like having a tour guide in book form.If you're visiting Las Vegas and want a small but very handy travel guide, then this is fantastic. Sure, you can get a larger one for reading in your hotel room or on the flight, but this is the guide that you'll want to carry around as it has everything in it to help you have a great time.

The back of the book says it has been constantly revised since the first edition in 2003, so it's bang up to date in 2022. For the price, I thought it was impressive value. Tons of information in bite-size chunks, maps galore with both fold-out covers of the book and including a removable fold-out one inside the back cover. Nicely the surrounding area of Vegas is included, Lake Mead and Boulder City for example. The last chapter: Streetsmart is full of practical detail including Getting married in Las Vegas (apparently a major attraction for visitors). The book is a handy size for roaming around the city or just use the fold-out map.

I have been to Vegas a few times although some years ago and I plan another trip with my wife who is keen to go. I have used these DK travel guides for various City trips in recent years and I really do like them. They are a good size and fit easily into the pocket. The map provides is easy to read and clear. They provide some detail but enough to whet one's appetite. They provide good suggestions for places to visit or stay or eat and for travel etc. Pragmatic and practical. This one clearly sets out suggestions and I know from experience, they are good suggestions. This book is up to date. It is easy to use and a great little guidebook to help with planning and when you are there. Recommended.

So much more than just a little top 10 book as has tons of ideas and useful info too and certainly gets one excited about going to Las Vegas! Great price for such a decent quality guide like this too so would absolutely recommend.
