Mr. LongArm 3204 Pro-Pole Extension Pole 2-to-4 Foot

I bought this to use with the ProPole - Painters Pole Addapter so I would have a way to get my camera up high. With newer cameras with WiFi connections, you can put your camera on end, right a smartphone mount on the other and you can control the camera remotely. Build quality of the Mr. Long Arm 3208 is excellent. The bottom half is plastic and the extension tube is light metal. There's a friction locking mechanism on the end of the plastic bottom and it tightens well and holds the upper tube firmly. You can extend the upper tube out to eight feet and without a load on the end, it remains straight. You can force the tube to bend by pushing it against a wall or other solid surface. I wouldn't trust this with a Nikon or Canon DSLR on the end, but with lightweight cameras on the end, the Mr. Long Arm remains straight and easy to handle. What I am personally not sure of is whether eight feet is long enough for my photo and video needs. Once you start playing with a camera on the end of this and see how it allows you to add unique perspective to your shots, you want more length. But for what it is, Mr. Long Arm 3208 Pro-Pole does the job well. Jerry

While the pole itself is a sturdy, useful pole, it works better with the Mr. Longarm angle adaptor ($7.70 on Amazon), just because of the nature of the pole and where it is you want to brush. Standing on the ground, and trying to brush off gutter covers over your head, for example, the angle adaptor would allow you to do that much easier and get full use of the brush. Likewise using the car wash brush attachment, the angle adaptor would allow you to angle the brush the way you want it, and get better performance on the top of the vehicle. You will likely like this pole even better if you get the angle adaptor to use with it.

I love this pole. I have very high ceilings in my home and the cobwebs and dust were impossible to reach. This pole is lightweight, but sturdy and rigid enough to be able to solidly reach the high nooks and crannies. The extension feature is very simple and solid. I can easily retract it for closer work and in a moment have it extended fully for the high spots. As such, I extend and retract many times as a I go through the house, which is so convenient. I have used extension mechanism which were hard to turn and felt like they might break any moment, so I was afraid to use the mechanism too often. This one works beautifully. I am so pleased with this item every time I use it. I remember back to having to climb up on furniture with my floppy drug store duster arm and I feel incredibly grateful to be using this pole.

Very good item depending on what you plan to use it for. If your goal is light dusting or similar uses this items will be perfect. The pole is very sturdy at 6 feet and it perfect for just about anything that requires that extra reach. I have mainly used it for as a cleaning tool for the outside of my house and it works very well for this. I have a couple of different sponge type heads I use on this and they are work great at the shorter lengths. It is when you extend this out past 9' or so that it starts to get wobbly. When under 9' the "pole inside a pole" give this plenty of stability and strength. However when the internal pole extends to its furthest lengths the whole unit starts to flex with only the slightest pressure. For cleaning purposes it is difficult to apply any significant scrubbing pressure when the pole is at or near full extension. For the price this is a very handy item that has 101 uses around a multistory home. Just be aware of its limitations at full extension.

Worked as expected.

This is an excellent concept, and it's definitely a solution when you don't have a ladder and need a long reach. There's a small learning curve when using it for a paint roller or brush, but if you stand back a bit from the wall so that you can get some pressure on the roller, you can get good coverage. I gave this 5 stars because of the quality and because I think it's definitely something that will work well once you learn how to use it properly, but I'm still having a hard time with getting enough pressure at the roller and have to go back over the area a lot in order to get it covered. I don't care, though, because it gets the job done and was definitely a great solution for me when I was painting 15-foot walls! This arrived very fast and in great condition, as well.

The plastic screw tip broke off the first day I used it. I had a water squeegee attached when it broke. I am not giving highers starts for that reason. The pole really should have a metal screw end...considering that when fully extended, sufficient pressure could be put on the end. I will have to fit my tools onto this pole another way. Everything about this tool was Awesome... but in the end, the plastic end will cost this tool.

I really love this and it has made my gutter-cleaning life so much easier. At the longest extension the pole does bend a bit but it is very strong. And the best part is that once you lock it into place it STAYS locked unlike so many other things that come loose over time. It is fantastic. I also got the brush attachment (not well made) and the swivel arm attachment (not well made). These latter two items are critical for the success of gutter cleaning so I was disappointed when they both wore out after only one use.

When fully expanded its kinda flimsy, but it's great as long as you're not 12 feet out.
