Just what I needed
This is rather good. I live in a very old house in which it is hard to keep the temperature exact. I put a batch of wine on several years ago and it ended off down the sink because the variations in temperature meant it didn't turn out right. Saw this temperature controlled belt on the front page of Amazon and thought to myself "why not try again." It was so easy to set up and was at a reasonable price. Anyway, I chucked some elderflower wine on and it just finished the other day. Absolutely perfect! And here I am. pretty wasted on home brew wine leaving this review. I better go to bed /hic. Good product and a game changer for me.

Exactly as described and heats very well
works well and you can cut into the silicone end loop to free the wire to make it a long strip rather than the wired in loop. Word of caution for anyone wanting to use with a smart plug for automation when mains power applied it does a boot cycle but stays off, you have to manually press the power button on thermostat to start. Likely a safety feature in case of power cut, but no option to override.

Runs my kombucha at ideal temperatures
Just what I needed something that Gives me the power to run my kombucha at the ideal temperature -other heaters I tried either would only heat to the lowest possible temperature or took me sailing through that point and having to turn them on and off so as not to burn my Scoby

Fits around two demijohns.
Purchased on the basis of other good reviews but not used yet other than to plug it in and check it is functioning - it is. I bought this because I started a batch of homemade wine off in quite low temperatures and felt it would never start fermenting. However, I underestimated the temperature of the house over the Christmas period and it’s been bubbling away brilliantly. Now the family have left and we return to normal temperatures in the house rather than semi tropical, I will probably need to use it. I will add the this review in due course.

Great brew belt but minor maufacturing issue
They now seem to have resolved the quality control issue where the clip was on the outside but there is a new minor issue. First the positive - It works great and is easy to use. Wrapped it at the bottom of a Youngs 25 litre FV just above the tap and it is keeping my fermenting wine at around 24C in a ambient room temperature of around 18.5C. This is approx with the dial set half way. Now, this is where this minor issue is. The dial has been put together somewhat incorrectly so that the 'On' positon is around notch 4, and the dial then turns way past the last notch all the way to just before the 'Off position'. i.e. the switch has been misalligined with the graduated notches. In practice this in no way affects the operation of the belt. But it does mean you have to remember where the dial was in relation to the ambient temperature for each subsequent brew, as of course once you turn it on there is no way to count the notches it's dialed in at past the first 2-3 notches. So over the course of the last 48 hours checking it every 12 hours or so, when adjusting the dial I am doing it by eye and turning it 3-4mm, the same as 'one notch'. So in practise it works perfectly. I suspect this will have been resolved by the next batch if others have the same minor flaw so you may wanna wait till then, perhaps around July Or August if you want a perfect one. On a side note it works best wrapped around near the bottom of your demi john or fermentation vessel, and uses around 25 watts full power, and around 12 - 14 watts if using half power like I am. If your unit rate of electric is around 21p like mine ( luckily still in a 2 year contract... ), then at half power it costs around 6.6 pence to run for 24 hours. Or 50 pence a week. Overall a great product and better than the ones with no adjuctable temperature. Gonna go check on it now while I put dinner on!

Excellent heater
Very pleased with heater, set at 23 degrees and strip thermometer is showing 22/24 so it's working spot on. Strap is good fit for 25l beer fermenter and they say it fits 2 demijohns or twice round a single. Minor criticism that the metal clip to hold belt tight is rather fiddly, a larger cop would be nice. The clip does work though.
