Luxury Sandalwood Shaving Stick 75Ml

So I recently ventured into the wonderful world of old school wet shaving. I picked up a nice double edge safety razor from Merkur, a variety of popular blades, and several different shave soaps and creams. I also wanted a travel shave soap to pack for my long weekends away from home base. I did some research, and came upon Taylor Sandalwood Stick. I enjoy the scent of Sandalwood, and the stick seemed like a good idea for travel. Well, I'm very impressed indeed. I ran the stick under the hot tap water and spread a thin film about my stubble. I then gave a few swoops of my badger, and what have you ? A truly wonderful lather indeed. Quick, easy to clean up, and looks as though it will last many a trip. The Sandalwood scent is wonderful. It is a noticeable fragrance, which lingers a bit longer than other Sandalwood soaps that I have tried. Good stuff here indeed.

This is my first shaving stick. I cannot evaluate accurately because I purchased it for travel and only tried it once at home. The scent is very nice since I love Sandalwood and I am a fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street! It lathered well but not sure if it will serve the purpose for which I planned. Otherwise, I may need to go back to a cream. Sorry, I wish I could offer more advice.

Great shave soap stick! Great for traveling, or to do a nice and easy face lather. Rub the stick on your wet face, then lather it up with your favorite brush. No bowl or mug needed! Same exact lather as the Taylor of Old Bond Street shave soap tub. If you need a bit more lather, you can cheat and rub your brush directly on the stick while face lathering. This is great to have on hand for a bit of ease in a pinch, or for a toiletry bag for travel!

I'm quite the fan of Taylor of Old Bond Street's products, especially their shaving oil. The problem I have with this shaving stick is that after just a few uses, the rotating base broke. Instead of pushing the shaving soap up, it poked a hole through the center of the soap like a corkscrew. The soap is now stuck inside the tube, and I'm unable to use the product except by digging it out with a spoon. There should be a plastic base beneath the soap to prevent this from happening. I'm surprised a brand with this reputation would sell a product with such a design flaw.

Product os exactly as pictures and the scent is fantastic. I use it with wet/dry shave - have tried many brands but this one is the smoothest and no nicks.

I loved the sandalwood scent, but this glycerin-based soap does not protect me like tallow-based soaps. I just didn’t get that smooth slide and often got nicks.

This is a great travel buddy. Has a screw on cap and doesn’t take up much space. I use it at home too since I love the performance and scent.

This product is essential for the traveling, well-shaved gentleman. I use it in my dopp kit when I'm on the road and it saves so much time and hassle. This builds a nice lather that allows anyone to have a good, close, comfortable shave while away from home.Item arrived in a timely manner. Only complaint is that it had melted a little bit due to the heat and, more likely, the storage of the postal service. Not the seller's fault. I would order this product again.

A great fresh smelling alternative to the much lamented but now discontinued Boots' Shaving Stick. Slightly chunkier diameter than I was expecting but lathers well.
