Its nice but I wont be using it again
The color is amazing until you take a shower... I took one and the color faded a bit (i knew that was going to happen) but parts of my hair that was bleached turned green. Also be very careful with the bleach, when I contacted Splat they said the developer for the bleach is 40 volume which is the second highest volume of developer you can get.

The color was great and bold
The color was great and bold. But I took a star because it was a MESS! Stained ERRYTHING it touches.

WORST HAIR DYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
I've been dying my hair for 20+ years and this is hands down the WORST hair dye I've ever used. Total disaster. It stained my tub, my scalp, my face, my neck, my clothes (worn in the following days) - and even went through the gloves during the dying process. It also ruined my shower curtain. When drying my hair, it still turns my hands blue. I have bangs, and if I sweat even a tiny amount, I get a blue forehead. The blue is vibrant, but I'm embarrassed by the jagged hair line stains even after 3 washes. Terrible terrible product. Do not buy this. It is not worth the horrible mess.

Great product dyed over natural dark hair for dark blue
I used the splat envy and dyed over my naturally dark brown hair for a dark blue effect and it has been in my hair for a good month and its still has blue in it. When i purchased the hair dye i got 2 boxes so if i ever want to go blue again i have a box. Just a warning it does stain but the stain comes out eventually my face isn't stained anymore nor is my bathtub. Great product!.

Great Color!!!!
I love how vivid the color came out. A little bit washes out each time, depending on the temperature of the water, it washes out more or less. (Cooler the water very little washes out, while warmer the water more comes out.) I am very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone that wants to add a little color to their hair and to be able to do it themselves.

Follow These Guidelines for Great Color That Stays For A LONG Time!:D
I love Splat! Yes, it can be messy but that's because it seems to have the most color in the market. That means you get dark, rich color form the start. If you want color that lasts for about 6 months, follow what I have discovered below. Have fun and good luck!;)1. Bleach your hair to light blonde. Read the *** below for explanation.2. Protect your ears with vaseline, use makeup or creme on your face and neck because this stuff stays!3. Try to only get the dye on your hair (not on your scalp).4. Use gloves while applying the dye but also even while drying your hair to protect your hands from the dye because it will continue to wash out of your hair for the next month or more.5. Keep the dye on your hair for at least 3 hours and it will last longer. Also that's great because it's darker and richer to begin with, and slowly with each washing gets lighter and brighter so that bosses, parents, and friends have awhile to compliment you on it, accept it, and grow used to it.6. Put a plastic bag or other wrap over your head during that time to keep the warmth in. You might even consider using a hot blow dryer over the bag if you want the color to stay super long - 4 - 6 months in your hair.7. Wash out your hair for a minute with water.8. Pour about a cup of vinegar over your hair (that much for hair that goes halfway down your back) in the sink and let it sit 5 minutes.9. Rinse until the water looks almost clear.10. Pat hair dry with a towel.11. Blow dry.12. From now on, tye up your hair when taking a shower. Right before you finish your shower, the last thing you do is wash your hair. Your aim is to keep your hair wet and soaped for the least amount of time possible - this will make the color last months longer. Shampoo only once a week applying shampoo only to the scalp and only one time.***Begin right: You MUST bleach your hair to a LIGHT BLONDE and then use Splat to get the color on the box. Many people think that it's ok to only bleach their hair to orange or yellow. However, if you are using a turquoise (ocean) or blue (envy) Splat, if you add that to yellow hair, you're going to get green hair -that's just how color rules work. And the same goes with Purple Desire - add that to orange or yellow hair and you're going to get a brownish color because that's how color rules work. And if you have dark hair to begin with and you don't bleach it, Splat cannot grab onto the hair follicle so the color will wash out in about 2 shampoos. All unnatural bright colored hair dyes are like this because they are all direct dyes - that means the color does not enter the hair follicle - the color sticks to the outsides of the hair follicle. So when you're in the sun, the sunlight enters your hair follicle lighting it up, and lighting up the Splat that is on the outside of the hair follicle and that produces a bright color.I receive compliments daily from people about my hair. I only bleached the top sections of my hair. Therefore, my natural brown hair is still part of the equation. That is what you see with the darker color underneath. for this photo, I had Splats Purple Desire for Several months until it lightened to be lavender. I don't look good in pastels so I then used Splats Blue Envy over it.

Hit and Miss
So i havent dyed my hair much and when I have it's been hit or miss (except for when I dyed it brown). Same goes for this dye but I still really like it. I think it will work better on dryer hair which will grab the dye better. Plus it might take more bleaching if you have dark hair (mines a light brown). It refused to grab the roots at first but i think it's because of how I applied it.I recommend you use a application brush (or even an paint brush). Leave it on longer than it says if your hair is healthy and/or dark.... or if you want a really long lasting color. I have short hair and I used a 1/4 of the bottle and it got everything but the roots (the bleach worked very well btw). Then I did a touch up, then I used the other half, saturating my hair. A LOT washes out in the shower (use cold water) but my whole head was colored for a couple weeks. It's been about 4 months since the second application (maybe longer) and I still have patches of blue. Some parts have faded into a lovely grey/silver. The bleach is still there. Overall it works but it needs some tweaking depending on your hair. Once you get it to work it's beautiful; I got a ton of compliments.1. Leave in longer than on box (some recommend overnight)2. SATURATE hair (may need more than one box for long hair)3. Use a brush to really get roots (it WILL stain scalp)4. Use Vaseline to cover forehead. DYE WILL STAIN5. Give it a chance; it's about trial and error!6. Don't worry it's just hair!
