The event cards & the new actions cards added depth to the game . The new variety of recipes , chefs and kitchen as a nice addition as well .

Once you get the hang of it…
It’s really fun! All of my kids (ages 12-27) love this game. If there are some people in your group that really only like to play the easier and more basic games then this isn’t the one for them. It does take a couple of trial rounds to figure out what you’re doing, but once you do then this game will be the one people ask to play every time they come over (and my friends and I are in our 30s & 40s). The illustrations are really pleasing to look out. The characters are cute/funny and have so much personality. Each one has a different “ability”. The game has adorable little pieces like garbage tokens, coins, movement wheels, etc. A lot of pieces are included, so the value is definitely there as well. The object of the game is pretty clear. Complete your recipes to gain popularity points. The first person with 20 popularity points wins. My family and friends love this game so much that I bought the expansion and the upgraded extras. The only reason for the 4 star review was because it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. A couple of my friends couldn’t (or didn’t want to) get the hang of it…so we moved on to easier games like Telestrations and Phase 10 so they could enjoy game night with the rest of us 🙄 Lol!
