Oxford Compatible Roman Colosseum, 1500 pcs

Bought this for my model-building daughter, hoping it would be a good alternative to the very expensive Legos. She likes the challenge of the sets that have several thousand pieces, so I'm always on the lookout for options. This was just an ok set. It was smaller than expected, and my daughter finished assembling it in a couple of hours. Ok for beginners, not advanced builders.

My son did this for school project. My son is 11 years old and was able to finish it in 8 hours. I was surprised, the finished Coliseum looked great, he modified it just a little to add height. Actual lego pieces fit with the Oxford pieces. I recommend this product i am so happy that this exists and at a good price.

Overall a good set and on par with lego. Some of the detail could have been better. Also had so many extra pieces that I thought I did something wrong. Overall good set.

I almost didn't buy this...thought it might be boring with just the two colors. Wrong!This kit was so much fun to build...it's a lot more intricate than I imagined (different design placements on bricks for one thing). It makes an impressive display.No. Missing. Pieces. Lots of extras.This is the third Oxford I've put together. Taj Mahal was fun...about 5 missing "common" pieces. No big deal. The little grey pagodas were neat...no missing pieces.I hope Oxford will come out with more architecture kits in the future. I won't hesitate to buy them.

I originally gave this product a bad review, because the box arrived with the shipping labels on the product box itself. It was all beat up with a big hole in the top. Not good for a Lego type set. I have since found out Amazon shipped it like that. The company has been wonderful dealing with this. I change my earlier poor review to an excellent one.

This is the 3rd Oxford set I’ve purchased and built. I must say it’s just as great as the 1st 2. Excellent quality. All the pieces snap together easily and precisely. Excellent manual with clear instructions. It was a fun, enjoyable build. 50+ extra parts. I wasn’t 100% sure I was going to like the final look once assembled but I love it. It captures the essence of the Colosseum. I don’t believe you will be disappointed purchasing it.

This product is missing 5 parts in the assembly. Disappointing to work for 3 hours and come to a sudden halt. Not even worth one star... but no star is not a valid choice.

Model kit was well constructed. Instructions were accurate and easy to follow! I liked it so much that I purchased a display case for the Colosseum and am currently displaying it in my sixth grade social studies class!!
