ABBA? Christmas? What’s not to like. It won’t have you up and dancing like a queen until after midnight but it will give you a warm and fuzzy feeling.

This, ABBA’s first Christmas record, is quite a simple tune about the joy of children on Christmas morning unwrapping their presents. Both Agnetha & Frida sing in unison in tender & beautiful fashion with minimal backing from Benny’s piano, some percussion, horns & flutes.The tune changes later when a children’s choir comes in, the only time other voices apart from ABBA’s are used in their recordings except from in I Have A Dream where a children’s choir is again used.It’s a beautiful Christmas tune & sending the message of how the little things can be the most important at that time of year.Not a big hit in the UK when released from the Voyage album in early December, only reaching a disappointing No.61 in the official chart, but will probably be played in the years to come…

from the comeback album, they've issued this as a single. It is twee for sure, and it has a children's choir to boot, but overall this is a lovely tune, and as Christmas songs go, this one isn't too sugar coated, it still carries that fabulous melancholy they have imbued all this new album with. Not worth buying as a single as it is just a one track CD, like the previous 3, so unless you are a collector of all things Abba just stick with the album track.

A very underplayed (on radio and Tv), underrated and underestimated Christmas song from the wonderful ABBA Voyage album. There is just something magical and special when Agnetha and Annifrid's voices fuse in song. Fantastic to hear them again after 40 years.This song is a gentle but cheeky lullaby about kids opening their gifts on Xmas morning, while their parents take this moment of distraction to have sex!!! So romantic!!! Great song and such a wonderful Christmas gift from ABBA.

Fabulous ABBA Festive Fun. Lovely track. Really nice gatefold sleeve that looks like a Christmas Card. But only one track? A strong 4/5 but can't give more when there is only one track.

First ever Abba Christmas song is heartwarming and charming - which will be played for years to come across the world, ABBA fans of course loving it !!!
