I will agree with another reviewer, this is not as mattifying as one would like but it is not nearly as shiney as any other moisturizer I’ve ever used. I’ve tried multiple matte moisturizers (Origins, Clinique) and thought I would try this based on the reviews.I have dry, flaky, sensitive skin with shine on my forehead and nose. All the other matte moisturizers I’ve used would cause more flaking, etc. This does not, at all!Admittedly, I was afraid to use this since it’s a small brand but boy am I glad I did…I am hooked. I am over 60 and have decided to go without makeup. This moisturizer makes my skin look fantastic without makeup!Also, because of my sensitivity, I expect to have a reaction with any new product I try usually in the form of red bumps. No red bumps!This could be psychological, but the consistency and the way it feels when I apply it, it feels very spa-like.I will be trying other products by this brand!(I will update this review in a few months as I’ve posted this after about a week of use)

I have oily skin, and find the right cream for me- pain. This cream light, moisturizing and helps to control the oil. Love it.

Pro: Great base for liquid foundation and overall matt look, however...Con: Makes my dry patches on my face visible, with and esp. without make-up. Not moisturizing at all - at least not for me. Makes my face feel dry.

I wrote a review on their volcanic face wash, LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have NEVER found I moisturizer that I can just put on my face and that’s that. My skin is very sensitive when it comes to acne, so either I have to water it down and it‘ll help some or doesn’t work at all no matter what. It’s always been such a pain in the butt that I don’t moisturize hardly ever and I know that’s gonna make me look like a shriveled prune when I get older (currently 31)I loved their face wash so much I gave this a try. O.M.G!!!!!! So far it’s been AAAAAMAZING!!!! Just put it on and that’s it! Thank you Sephora for introducing us, thank you Innisfree for making this! If you ever stop I will seriously be writing letters to corporate.

This moisturizer is amazing! I have tried so. Many. Moisturizers and none compare to this IF you have oily skin and enlarged pores. My pores are so darn smooth and almost airbrushed away when I use this. It’s fantastic. I have really oily skin especially around my nose. I use this moisturizer morning and night and my skin/nose stays matte and less oily than it usually is! I use this with the innis free volcanic toner and my skin feels great! Not all the time do I feel for the glowy/shiny look when i apply a moisturizer; sometimes I just want to apply and go without looking greasy, so this is great for that. What I also like is the ingredients in this product.

On days when I have to go out and brave the heat, this is incredible. I have horrible oily skin and this is like wearing a blotting tissue on my face. I've tried it several times on HOT days and the difference is amazing. Even my husband noticed I wasn't as "shiny".

I used just a touch on the area and then applied my foundation normally and this made it look so smooth and flawless. It still has moisturizing properties and this will work well for me during the summer when my skin has more oil. When I think volcanic products, I think lava rock, pumice stones and superfine volcanic particles that chinchillas bathe in (true, that). The first couple of days, I applied this to the backs of my hands, and it felt good and provided some moisturizing.I then tried it on my face, and it also felt moisturizing, and somewhat evening-out. It was not filmy or sticky (or powdery, like chinchilla dust). My skin does not get super-oily, so I did not notice a mattifying effect, but you may. I liked that it did not seem to get loosened when perspiring while working outside. I also cannot say I noticed any pore-clearing, but then again I did not have any clogged pores while using this.
