Raw Garden Kala Namak (Himalayan Black Salt) X- Fine 12 Oz Easy-To-Use Shaker Bottle

I've been vegetarian (not vegan) for about 15 years. Somewhere along the line I bought this because I've always kind of had an aversion to real eggs. Today I finally added a pinch of this salt to my usual chickpea "egg" salad recipe and HFC, game changer! It tastes exactly like egg salad, not some vegetarian knock off. I plan to explore using this with those bland egg replacers in everything from quiche to fried rice to ... who knows?? If you miss that egg taste this is what you're looking for. Peace!

It's even better than I was expecting. I tasted it as soon as it came in and I wish I could've seen the look on my face, it must've been hilarious. It tastes so much like eggs (full disclosure, I've been vegan for quite a while so my sense of taste may be off). But seriously, it's great.

A bit pricey for a salt substitute but it really enhances the taste of tofu scrambled eggs. We use it in anything and everything. Will need another bottle soon!

Black salt is great for adding to dishes that require a sulfur type flavor/smell. I love this brand.

I first tried this at a restaurant known for its plethora of salts. I remember thinking it was like eating a hard-boiled egg without the egg. I bought it because it was an ingredient in an Indian dish I wanted to make. However, I plan to try it in some vegan breakfast dishes to add the taste of egg. It's a huge bottle - I was able to share it with my two sisters and mom, and still have a lot for my self.

Great for making “eggs” a vegan must have. Great price and fast shipping. A little goes a long way. This bottle can easily last years. Remember don’t add too much a little goes a long way. Great for making anything taste like eggs. I add it to tofu and potatoes salad.
