I live in a sunny state, and this thing hasn't faded after about three months, which is nice. The quality of the plastic is super high. Screwing into it. It has a high storage capacity and is, I would say, mostly waterproof, but I have seen water in it. I'm not sure if it's from rain or wet items going in. Either looks excellent, and my husband loves it. Just to raise awareness, though, putting this together was a nightmare, but once together, it is very solid. I'm also pretty good at this stuff, and this one made Ikea seem like it was made for infants.

This box is great. It’s the largest one that I could find to still fit on my narrow porch. I need to trade stuff off with my children’s father and often there is a lot of stuff. It’s great that it is suitable for a lock. I had a hard time putting it together solo but made it work. Took me about an hour because I had to wrangle the pieces together. It would’ve been great to have help when interlocking the base with the sides. I wish there were more color choices, but this works great! Little more money than I wanted to spend, but I found the same price everywhere else for this product. And again it was the only one at this size that locked.

Easy assembly. Solid box

This is a perfect storage container to set on the deck and keep the house looking tidy - it's not too big and not too small... I purchased the grey version which has a clean look to it that fits the look of my house. It's well constructed - needs a little agility to put together but is well designed so thank you engineers. Overall it was nicely priced and adds a classy touch to the home.

How hard is it to design a deck box that holds your stuff? I thought I was getting something that was foolproof and pretty much "figured out" at this point, and based on the brand name Rubbermaid and the positive reviews this felt like a no brainer - however this thing is literally useless as designed and I don't see how anyone can make it work or how the firm that designed it could have released it as is. Quite literally, the box touts 69% fewer parts, but the parts that remain do not attach and connect in a way that actually holds this thing together. It's pretty simple that if you are going to build a deck box it needs to hold stuff without bowing apart. To describe what's happening, each side "folds in" and meet in the middle, and are locked in place with three bent pieces of steel. However, that bottom piece of bent pieces of steel don't connect to the bottom piece of the box, so the sides just bow out. I tried everything I could to get them to lock in and stay, but they won't and there isn't even enough steel there to catch and hold it in place anyway. I know that as soon as ai put stuff in here, it will just get worse, and have no confidence the bottom piece would even remain intact because it's only held onto the sides with these flimsy grooves of plastic. I don't normally write reviews, but this warrants one because it's an embarrassment to the folks that considered it good enough to ship to customers. Don't waste your time.

Item arrived in good time, all parts included except tools to assemble. It seems to be a fairly sturdy box overall and plenty big enough for deck furniture pillows and for most delivery boxes. Much of the assembly was pretty simple, though the directions are pictorial only with no narrative, so it's not hard to apply parts, like the hinges, backward or upside down, then it has to be undone and redone later when you need to use the hinges. The U-bolts to hold the sides together work at the top and the middle of the sides, but the one at the bottom that hold the sides to the base are very very difficult to insert fully - I have not succeeded yet after many tries. Therefore, the sides gap at the bottom from the base and make the box less weather resistant than I would like. So, if you are lucky, and all your pieces fit exactly as they should, you may have a solid and weather resistant box. But, if you are unlucky, like me, and the pieces just don't quite fit at the bottom, you have a box that is most helpful on sunny, dry days only.

Overall we are very pleased with the deck box. It is roomier than we expected and a great storage solution for chair cushions, life jackets, tarps, grill covers, etc, etc. I am still giving it a 5 star rating but found the assembly instructions more complicated than expected.

Terrible nothing fits waste of money

Looks good and it went together fairly simple. It does take two people for some parts just to make it quicker. I like the colour and the flat top is great for resting things on.
