Skylink WT-433W Wireless Door & Window Burglar Alarm Alert Security Sensor | Affordable, Easy to Install DIY Accessory for SC Series Systems

I order this sensor to work with my alarm system to monitor the garage door. After sitting down and calculation the value of my tools for insurance purposes, I suddenly felt that I needed to do more then just locks. Ordered the sensor and put in a surveillance system... The wireless door sensor was an easy setup when following the instructions. Only word of caution is to check your alarm system to make sure that the sensor is compatible. Seemed that the quality is a bit cheap, but hey after 6 months it is still working. I test the functionality at least twice a month to make sure...

I bought this product for self installation. Perfect product, does exactly what it describes, easy to install, easy to read instructions, fast shipment. I have also GE product- does not come close to Skylink. I am glad I found this product thanks to all great reviews. When power fails security system stays on the battery and works for about 3 days. Therefore, no problem despite of power failure.

It does pretty much what it needs to. It is a little tricky to program this to the rest of the Skylink security sensor correctly. Basically, you need to add this sensor to Zone 1,2,3 or 4. In order to do this you need to enter a code sequence on the main control panel, then press the button on the sensor.It is tricky if you mess this up, or if you need to move sensors between zones: in order to remove any sensors from a zone, you need to clear the zone, then add them individually. Once you have the system set up, this means running back and forth between the control panel and the sensors in order to hit the button on the sensor within 30 seconds of programming. If you don't make it to the sensor within 30 seconds, the zone is cleared. To make matters worse, if you trigger the motion sensor while moving around the house, the sensor is programmed to that zone, and you have to start the process over again. You can't easily tell which sensors belong to which zone, so you need to keep this straight as you are doing it.But aside from that, the product works well, doesn't seem to trigger any false alarms.

Sensitivity to door opening and reasonably priced.

Please look for the Vibration sensor - I have a review there about it.I would recommend the Vibration sensor over this add-on. (again see my review on Vibration sensor)My review on this - I bought the kit and a few of these (wish I didn't now) one of the ones that came in the box didn't work. I emailed skylink and a woman called me back later that day.I have yet to get the replacement (but I am still in the window when she said it might show up)She was helpful with replacement - I told her the troubleshooting I did and that ended that (she said ok you covered everything) lets get you a replacement (IF they don't send a replacement I'll update my review)I really like the system. ( I am using it as a backup to an existing video system )HOWEVER - seriously consider getting the Vibration Sensor over this... why- if they break glass this sensor won't go off (vibration - if they open or break it will go off)- easy install on vib sensor - peel Velcro and stick- battery replacement (9 Volt Battery) on vib - not this one... this is one of those tiny batteries that is a pain to find.

Works with the main system as an add-on, I have had the Skylink System in operation for over a year now without even one glitch, add-on sensors are easy to setup and works as well as all the paid security system equipment and services without the monthly charges.Keeps our family feeling safe and secure.

GREAT PRICE AND COMPLETED MY SYSTEM alarm, ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS COVERED! Flaw skylink system 6 month old and dialer discontinued, unhappy with skylink. So Skylink a Question: How can you discontinue a dialer for a 6 month old system?, and I called your company and your customer service SUCKS! no help for me from you! the end of skylink for me, no dialer to call out when alarm goes off and it's my bad luck I bought from you..... and my skylink light controlling system I will not buy anymore parts from you on that, due to unsatisfied will security dialer, buying other light control system so after this. YOU LOST A CUSTOMER! ...****MY SKYLINK SECURITY SYSTEM WILL NEVER BE COMPLETE DUE TO DIALER, SO IF I'M HOME GOOD LUCK TO ME IF I CAN CALL OUT WHEN BROKEN INTO. AND WHEN OUT I'LL NEVER KNOW NOR POLICE CALLED WITHOUT DIALER. SO TO ALL BUYERS BEWARE OF SKYLINK SYTEMS MIGHT NOT HAVE WHAT YOU NEED IF YOU BUY IN PIECEWORK. JOKE IS 6 MONTHS AND DIALER DISCONTINUED, JOKES ON ME!!!! AND THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TO BAD "BOUGHT WRONG SYSTEM" FIXED INCOME WAS BUYING PIECE WORK AND STOPPED IN TRACKS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM, THEY DISCOUNTINUE A PIECE AND RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT SYSTEM WHEN I'M ALREADY $140.00 INTO IT ON A FIXED INCOME, THE LITTLE MAN MATTERS NOTHING TO THEM, ONLY THE ALL MIGHTY $$$... PANIC BUTTON ON KEY FOB JUST HOPE SOMEONE HEARS ALARM I COULD BE DEAD/HURT WITHOUT DIALER.

This whole system was reasonably easy to install (had to get a bit of help from the techies at the included phone number), and it works well.

Purchased this sensor to replace a faulty one from a previous order. Works OK so far.
