Good value
Brought when redecorating our kitchen as it does not get much light. Easy to install, good quality and love the fact you dont have to attach the ends in a certain way. Looks lovely when up

Very cool looking, but know your wires
Product arrived really quickly. Well packaged. It came with instructions, now, when I say instructions, I mean it came with a sheet of paper that had a drawing of some directions on how to assemble the metal casing/structure of the lamp (8 arms)We are NOT electricians -The wiring instructions consisted of what wire was live/neutral but no actual wiring-up information. We asked a few questions on here to no real solution although some people were helpful and prompt enough BUT we turned to the magic that is? YouTube. That didn’t help much either so we scoured the net a bit.Anyway, here’s what we done;We got all the blue wires, took off the wire tops and held them altogether, get them so they are all at the same length and then electrical tape the bunch together to hold on place (you feel like a bomb disposal expert at this stage)Then using long nose pliers we twisted the bare wire around and around each other to make one big wire (Mission Impossible theme tune in my head) we done the same with the other wires but the yellow/green wire is on its own, then screwed them into the designated hole in the small black plate (supplied) it says on it N, L and has a wee hieroglyph symbol for earthTurn the power off.Go to your ceiling lamp/fitting (ours was a standard basic lamp fitting, 1950’s UK home) we took off the casing, unwired it then matched up the wires to the coordinating wires in the lamp housing/plate. **Check online what your wires are, some older wiring has different coloured wires for live/neutral/earth to modern fixtures**All in all, the instructions could have been better for the wiring but looking back, was easy enough.Constructing the lamp is just screwing and bolting, follow the guide. You will need two folk to hang this from the ceiling - one to hold it in place, the other to wire and screw. If you can do this solo then WOW.I only had one bulb to test this but it worked fine, no one got an electric shock and the power didn’t cut out.The lamp we bought takes the larger Ikea screw-in bulbs.All-in-all please with the result, looks very cool, might get some Edison bulbs :)

Cheap price for what it is. But, you need to be good at DIY to set up
So, this light unit comes complete disassembled. With no tools and awful instructions (useless instructions to be honest). As such it gets marked down for the effort you have to go to, to out it up.That beung said, it is cheap at only £25 approx. The process I used to install the lamp. So, you have to put all the framework and 'rose' section together. You'll need a spanner that's fits for this. Each stem has a live and neutral cable within. There is no earth wire. But, thus unit is NOT double insulated and made of metal. So, you have to add an earth yourself. You have to strip back and join all the neutral cables together and the live cables together and then join via 6amp connector. Then connect the live and neutral from the ceiling, one to each of the connectors (pictured.)I also connected a piece of wire between the two nuts holding the centred of the rose. And ran it to a connector which connected it to the earth wire from the ceiling.

Low price and Look great
Ok so to start off this is cheap! The arms are all separate from the rose and have to be assembled, the threads are covered in the same paint as the arms which makes them very difficult to get the nuts started on them and you think you got them cross threaded but they all went on. In the picture they show star washers but they are not supplied and they show connectors as you have to bunch all the 8 black wires together and then all the 8 white wires but connectors not included either so make sure you have connectors of some sort at hand, the light when assembled is light (in weight) which tbh made it easier to hang however it is a bit flimsy, all that said the light fitting looks great and is perfect for our needs we bought 2 of them and all the bulbs and 2 wall lights all for just under £100 and they really do look great which is all that matters

Not for you if you want to take it straight out the box
As other reviews have said, it requires quite a bit of assembly (and not just attaching the 'arms'). As much as I hate to admit it I wouldn't have been able to put it together if it wasn't for my husband, and even then it required making a larger hole in the ceiling to accommodate all the cables etc. There's a reason it is the price it is and comparable ones from other retailers are a lot more expensive, but it does look good and provides a lot of light to the room now it's up.

Fast delivery and really good quality
I was initially worried as it said it could take a long time to deliver and I thought that because of the price it might be low quality. Some of the write ups hadn't been too good either. However...it came within 2 working days of ordering. I found the instructions quite clear on how to build it and by laying the pieces out on the floor in the order of the image it was easy to attach the base/round part. To be fair you really didn't need instructions at all it really is that easy (if you're not sure on the wires you tube it). The only fiddly bit was attaching to the ceiling. A little bit fiddly trying to get the ceiling wires in the same white box but not impossible if you have someone else to hold the light up while you attach. Overall I am well chuffed with this product!

Competent electrician required
Good points: Looks reasonably good, Cheap price.Bad points: unlikely to pass British Standards, tubing looks like it was bent “by eye” not In a jig- so tubes look out of line, cable compartment very small, terminal block supplied are not suitable for terminating 9 wires into each screw, (Get a couple of 5 way Wagos as in photo). Complete self assembly required.
