Tree with right size & shape, well pacjaging

Disappointing
I have been shopping around for a Red Maple with a strong, uncut central leader. I couldn’t find one, so I thought I’d try Brighter Blooms through Amazon. Big mistake. It arrived, looking tall and green. I opened the box, and started planting. As I did I noticed that the entire tree had been cut off at ground level. This tree is actually a shoot from the original. I have weak wood at the very base. Then I started investing. It was cut again near the top. The top of the tree is also a narrow angled sprout. More weak wood.
