Yay! This is the real deal. Amtech NC-559-V2-TF is the best solder flux. Sometimes the best costs a bit more money than the rest but it's so much worth it. My repair project has been delayed twice due to buying an inferior flux that was terrible and a counterfeit purchase of Amtech on eBay. The eBay Scamtech Flux was a bubbly watery mess made in China and as far as I know you can only get Amtech in the USA. If your soldering project is important to you and you want and need it done right buy this stuff! Nothing beats the consistency, performance and amazing perfect shiny solder balls you'll get when using the Rolls Royce of solder fluxes. I purchased the kit and thought the needle was missing but found it taped to the side of the plunger. The complete kit is definitely a good buy and a must have for micro soldering. The fine precision needle is perfect for microscope soldering purposes. You don't want a huge fat needle spilling flux all over the place.

This is awesome flux, the best I've ever used. It's very slow to boil away, the residue is mild and easily cleaned off. Even the smoke is less and not as noxious as almost every other flux I've used. The syringe applicator works perfectly, but the default tube doesn't come with a plunger, so if you don't have a 30cc plunger, get the part marked "kit" to get the plunger with it. The syringe comes with a short needle, but it's a standard Luer lock, so any dispensing needle will work. I put a slightly finer needle on it for more precision, and had no issues. It's very manageable to apply, it doesn't string and isn't intensely sticky. It flows under heat, but stays mostly put, making cleanup easier. I did some informal tests, and it deals with surface oxidation like the lower end of the high activity fluxes, but the residue doesn't seem to cause corrosion, acting more like a low-activity flux.
