Before I purchased this antenna, I checked the website suggested to see what reception I will have and it indicated Moderate. Hooked it up and performed a scan. Not a single station came in. Only the green light on the left side of the bottom row was lit. Plugged it into an extension cord and took the antenna outside and walked around in the front yard. Still only that light was lit. Started the return process with Amazon.

The night and day difference between this antenna and any other I've tried is the visual signal LED bars. I live in an apartment that doesn't have a window facing the side where the towers are, so I can't get a strong signal. I tried putting another older antenna all over the place to catch a signal but to no avail. I tried 3 or 4 antennas before this one and it's always been so hard to catch signals. When I got this one, I spent a few minutes placing the antenna in all sorts of places until I was able to get 3 bars on the top and 1 on the bottom. It was the only place in all the apartment that got me that many bars. I then did a scan and boom-i got more channels then I've ever seen before! And all the main channels I was hoping for we're clear! Being able to see the signal strength as you move this around is incredibly handy. I can't stress enough the value of this. IF you live in places where the signal is super strong regardless of where you point the antenna then maybe you won't need it. But even then, why not get something that one day you WILL find useful. Plus it costs the same as any other antenna. Highly recommend it.

I purchased this antenna for my in-laws who were previously having picture quality issues as well as not getting channels such as 2, 5, or 7. They had an old $15 zenith model. I figured at $50 this GE antenna would be of offer them better quality reception. They live in the Chicagoland area so it is not as if they are in the middle of nowhere.Unfortunately, other than the unit looking better than the old one, there was no improvement in picture quality. I've tried different areas of the house and the signal indicator on the front shows one bar constantly. I guess my biggest issue with this product is the price point. Had I paid $10 - $20 I could rationalize it not performing well. At $50 it feels cheap and it doesn't do better than cheaper models.

Awesome. im in las vegas, and used this on the 2nd floor. i was able to pull 60 channels. After removing the church, shopping and spanish channels i counted 30 english channels with good pictures. Item is double sided, 1 black side and 1 white side. i did notice the white side facing the window was able to grab a better signal. i mainly watch NBC, Fox, CBS, and ABC, PBS for sports and news.

I’ve tried multiple amplified HDTV antennas in quest of cutting the cord - even one that cost 4-5 times the cost of this antenna. None provided the outcome of this very affordable and effective antenna.It may be the area in which I live but given the limited availability of stations, this is the very Best I’ve found. In fact, I purchased a 2nd one as’back-up’.I only wish the cord would be longer to allow more locations.

I had a DB8E with an RCA pre-amplifier and bought this as a temporary when I moved into my newly constructed house until I could get my handyman to mount my antenna on the roof. I was SHOCKED when this antenna pulled in more channels than the DB8E did on the old house on the same lot. I pull in about 65 channels on this little unit. Because of the price point, I bought a second unit to use in the bedroom instead of running a splitter like I did with the DB8E

I bought this for my in-laws. It looks nice and the set up is easy. The signal finder showed low signal wherever I tried to place it and it only got two channels after running the auto-program three times. I took it home to test it with my TV because I have an older GE antenna that was much cheaper and I wanted to see if there was a difference. I swapped out my other GE antenna for this one, and tried it a few different spots. It does not get the same signal quality no matter where I tried it. Its great looking and has a nice long cable, but if you can't get signal then it really isn't worth it.

where I am , I placed the antenna near my tv and I catch 4 channels , tried several places, but the better place was beside my front window, was at 8 channels suddenly, happy with this, and shipment was enough fast.

Bought this for my wife's grandfather. We tried several other cheaper antennas and this one is by far the best. No need to switch between long range and short range, the LED indicators are great for him to reposition it on his own.At the end of the day, he only gets like 5 channels but with all the other antennas we bought we never got more than 2.
