I only purchase Alonefire lights. A great light.

I spend a good deal of time in the Michigan UP and wanted to play around with the fad of the "YooperLites" which are stones that glow in black light. I ordered this expecting to get some mundane flashlight and this thing was as heavy duty as the one I have in my truck for regular use. Heavy aluminum and runs on 2 big batteries (included) that have a special charger (Included - you provide your own USB power supply). This thing REALLY cranks out the light and they include a set of plastic UV safety glasses to cover your eyes (don't look directly at the light). I was impressed, and I have to say that the scary part of it all was that I have animals in my house and everything looks clean. You take a stroll around in your house with it in the dark and it either looks like a crime scene or a house of ill refute - you might not want to use it in the bedroom or bathroom!! I had to make the funny note because I always clean up the messes and I was shocked to see they were not really cleaned, If you are a landlord you might want to buy one of these for when the tenants leave so you can see how well they cleaned the place up, or what surprises may be soaked into the carpet - just a thought!! I think it is great and can't wait to use it for what I bought it for!

Purchased a bunch of different 365nm lights to look for cool rocks in a similar price range as this one, and this light was the best (closely followed by the SV43 and SV47). This is the one I'll be keeping, and selling the rest. I'm not an expert but they seem to have a good pure 365nm light. NOTE: if you buy extra batteries for it DO NOT buy flat top 18650. You need button tops!

I went with the the 20W model because I thought it would be adequate for rockhounding, etc. It's not. The batteries don't last long, the unit overheats quickly, and the charger isn't the greatest - trying to seat the batteries so they actually have contact is a challenge in itself. I will probably be shopping for a nicer model and keep this one in reserve for, well, I don't know what. Maybe an extra 8 minutes of rockhounding at close range...

Just received my ALONEFIRE SV44 20W 365nm UV Flashlight and the end cap power botton isn't working correctly. If the end cap is tight it won't power up. And one time it turned on but won't turn off. So I had to remove the end cap to stop it. Was Contacted by the seller and received a free replacement that works perfect. Found my first Yooperlite with it. Thanks for fast shipping on the replacement.

This lights up better than the SV53 External charging. Overall happy with the performance

C'est définitivement la meilleure lampe de poche que j'ai essayé pour les pierres et le verre de plage (seaglass). Notre Club de minéralogie en a commandé une dizaine! On voit très bien la fluorescence de certains minéraux : calcite, marbre onyx (calcite rubanée), calcédoine (agate, géode), etc. J'ai aussi une lampe de poche 395 nm, mais je trouve celle-ci (365 nm) plus efficace; la différence est flagrante, en particulier quand la fluorescence est subtile. Je vous recommande vraiment cette lampe de poche! N'oubliez pas qu'il faut protéger ses yeux et éviter le contact avec la peau.

It's great but pretty bummed they don't sell the charger alone for a replacement if needed (I need one)
