Not exactly sure this is made for copics...
Since getting more into copics again and producing more art with them, I find that using my older copic marker paper (that comes in a pad bound by glue) is not to my tastes, as I like to keep my paper and artwork all together in one book. I tried looking for the copic sketchbook in places I go to buy my art supplies but either they're not sold there for the moment or are too expensive. Me noticing that there are only a few pages of my notepad left I turn to more affordable options. Thats when I remember the illo sketchbook, which a youtuber I frequently watch (by the name of Drawing Wiff Waffles) constantly sings praises of and she usually colors with copics in it. I buy one and well...it could get some getting used to. At any rate it is better than when I first used copics in a sketchbook not made for them, but it did feel a lot more like that. The colors didn't totally bleed through (though I did but a scrap piece of paper behind just in case). The only real problem I had was the bleeding out when I used the blender, so if I choose to continue to use copics with this sketchbook I need to curb my use of the blender I love so much... In the end I will not turn my nose up to a sketchbook (I have all types and try to use the heck out of them). I'll just have to get used to it until I can possibly buy a proper bound sketchbook for my copics. Also as a plus, I did decorate the outside with acrylics (pictured). It's been a week and it hasn't been exposed to the outside but the paint stuck just fine. Just be aware that the sketchbook may stick to surfaces and make sure to paint with white first so you're not layering so much.

I Love This Sketchbook 💜
I heard about ILLO Sketchbooks through watching some of my favorite YouTube artists. At first I thought it was gimmicky and a bit expensive. ( I’m use to using canson multimedia sketchbook). However, I was in the market for trying something new that would step up my art game. At the time only the 10 by 10 was available and I scooped it up. This sketchbook have been through some things media wise. I have use markers, graphite, watercolors, acrylic, color pencils, and glue in this book and it’s still holding up well. I really love the fact it lays flat and comes with a folder in the back it makes traveling with references and getting in the corners easier. (Experiences Details) For my marker users : It does ghost on the other side but I have never experienced bleeding on another page though. For my pencil users: Paper is more smooth than textured. It blends good but not the same as it would on textured paper. For my sketchers and liner artist: You will love this book! Pencil glides so smoothly on this paper and so does ink. Watercolor Users: Don’t flood the page with water! It will warp. Glue users: liquid glue will wrinkle the page a bit so be careful. Best Wishes Everyone!

Great Sketchbook
Not the best for watercolors or carrying a round but both can be done anyway, it’s a great sketchbook with really smooth paper. I don’t have to worry about it getting damaged in the rain because the pages don’t suck in the water and you can just wipe it off if a droplet lands. I know that’s a very niche situation but it’s super convenient and makes me like the product even more :)

Travel friendly and durable!
Really enjoyed this sketchbook. Everywhere I go, I like to have a sketchbook on hand. Illo’s extra large 10x10 sketchbook was very travel friendly and durable. The sleek black outer cover provided a semi-professional appearance and was easy to keep clean. The paper handled mix media and inks relatively well. I didn’t mind the paper not being acid-free; as I just used it for sketches and ink drawings. Because I travel so much, I’ve always had an issue with the binding coming apart and the book covers being stained. However, this sketchbook really managed to stand the test of time and remain presentable to clients. I would truly recommend this sketchbook for artists on the go!
