No, they are designed for use on mats.

I would say yes. Thay are made of soft, thin leather upper and suede leather that wears like a glove and very flexible. The sole has a thin lining other than that they are unlined and the seam is uncomfortable at first. I turned them inside out and rubbed leather conditioner on the seam then wore them with a thin sock They form quickly to your feet and them seam becomes un-noticeable.
