Workhorse Bluetooth Headset
I've had The HBS-A100 for seven months now. I bought them certified refurbished from Amazon, and I've had zero problems with them so far. They are very durable and the sound quality seems great to me, but I'm not exactly an audiophile. Besides music, podcasts and audio books, I use them for phone calls all the time. Rarely do I get any complaints about people not being able to hear me, despite the microphones being farther away from my mouth than other LG Tone models. This is probably because of the dual MEMS microphones, so if you are shopping around for a stereo Bluetooth headset and you care about calls, I strongly recommend a pair with dual MECHANICAL microphones, not digital mics.I have sweated all over these when walking for miles in hot and humid weather, and it has not effected them. I have not been stuck in the pouring rain with them though, so I'm not sure how well they would hold up in that particular scenario. Hopefully I won't have to find out. Sometimes I am a little rough with the retracting earbuds, but they still snap right back into place and the sound has not cut out on either side at all. These fit pretty snugly around your neck, but they are supposed to. Maybe that will feel uncomfortable to you, but it doesn't bother me (I have a 17.5-inch neck). They are designed to stay in place during heavy physical activity like running, push-ups, sit-ups, etc. These are not as light-feeling and comfortable as the LG Tone Platinum. You will not forget you are wearing them, but they are also much more tougher and durable than the Platinum.I see that LG Tone headsets have mixed reviews. People either love them or hate them due to unreliability or connectivity issues. I think whether they work out for you will come down to luck (for example, whether the people on the assembly line were drunk when they made yours), or which phone you have. Paired with an iPhone 7, the newer LG Tone models have worked great for me. If you're considering a pair, my suggestion is to ignore the reviews, give them a try and send them back if they stink.

Awesome! 1 Year and Still Going Strong,
I bought these in May 2017 and I'm glad to say the are still working, with no issues whatsoever!Great battery life, I can easily go through 2+ full days of constant use without charging, using them at work for long 12 hour shifts has been a pleasure. The fit, at first, felt a little snug, but I got used to it. The sound is quite good, reasonable highs and midrange. Good bass, not too much, which some headphones tend to overcompensate with. The speaker however doesn't have much bass, but provides clear sound for what they are. Easy to pair and use with 2 devices at once. Sturdy construction( My Brand New Jabra Halo Smart stopped working in less than 60 days and the Samsung Level U Pro lasted about 6 months) I would buy these again!!

Meh...
I really like LG products but fail to understand why when they have a product or design that works why they change it.This particular headset is wonderful for listening both with the earpieces and with the built in external speakers. The external speakers provide a nice surround experience as long as you are not in a noisy area; then it fails to be loud enough. It fails miserably tho with the microphone. I'm not sure if it is the placement of them or if they are just of poor quality. There are supposed to be duel microphones but, in mine anyway, only the one on the left side seems to work or at least the is the side I have to pull away from my neck and speak in to be understood clearly. To be fair I am a larger man and this headset does fit tightly on my neck, that may be part of the issue.

Very convenient. Okay sound. My goto for general use.
The sound is not amazing but is adequate for the gym or general use. It is not sound isolating. I use it everyday for general use. For those that don't like having something in your ear all the time this is great. It hangs around my neck out of the way and for the most part I usually forget that it's there. When I receive a call I pull out either ear bud, push the answer button and start talking. The external speakers aren't very loud so they are only useful in a quiet environment. I have never had a problem with battery life and my work days are sometimes very long, up to 24 hours. I don't know if it falls out during running.

Good product - very durable - with great range and clarity
I wanted to put this Bluetooth device thru its paces so I am writing this review after I have used the heck out of it . I use it dailey ... some times fir hours on end and other days ... just fir an hour or so . But this is true .. every time regardless of duration ! It performs to my satisfaction .

Great idea, horrible in reality! Constant Static on Mic & No Noise Cancelation!!
Not very loud in speaker mode, people constantly complain I sound bad or it's just static noise they hear. they pick up every sound around you louder than your voice & they move around your neck where you never know where the buds are. I had the the 700's for years & they always sounded good & didn't rotate around your neck. Always had them on. These... uhg! I can't believe there's no noise cancelation! All headsets should have that by now. The static noise in the mic will temporarily go away if you power them off & on.
