Garbage Out of the Box
Ball Joint was Defective out of the Box. Had more play than the old ball joint I took out of the truck. I decided to install this Mevotech ball joint as my truck was apart and I needed it back on the road. Big Mistake. Took truck to the alignment shop and they refused to do the alignment until this faulty ball joint was replaced. What a huge waste of time and money. I contacted Mevotech Customer Service and they did nothing for me. Mevo-Crap. Never Again.

garbage, stay away!
these ball joints are complete garbage! to begin with, they dont fit in the knuckle without almost braking my heavy duty install tool due to the stupid coating they put on it. secondly i dont understand why they feel the need to use some type of JB weld style of threadlocker on top of it being a stover nut as well. it doesn't allow for the ball joint to be be properly tighten beacuse it gets seized half way on and has to be cut off! sadly i didnt get a chance to install before the return window closed so now im out $70 for a pair of garbage ball joint that dont work!

Do NOT buy
I installed upper and lower Mevotech ball joints on my 01' excursion 2 months ago. I went to get an alignment today and 3 out of 4 are bad enough that the shop wouldn't align the truck. Total waste of time and money. Also... Installation sucked- The green thread lock on the nut sets so quick that the hex head you use to prevent the ball joint from spinning while installing stripps out. I'll add picks after disassembly.

Don’t last
These joints didn’t last 10,000 miles and are wore out on the bottom joints.
