Happy Holidays

Sometimes I buy a Christmas album just because it looks like a novelty that none of my family and friends will have. This was why I bought Happy Holidays by Billy Idol.WOW WOW and WOW!I'm so glad I have added this to my collection of Christmas albums.This album is a grouping of traditional Christmas songs. Mostly familiar classics, but a few that I have never heard before.Every song is kept to it's original composition and that is how Billy Idol sings them. It's a major change from his usual rock music and it shows how much range his voice has. I bought the CD in the beginning of May and I keep going back for more.After listening to Happy Holidays, I'm convinced that Billy Idol could sing the phone book and make it sound like a lullaby.I'm going to have to search and see how many other rockers have Christmas albums out.Well worth my money.

I really like Billy Idols music but was worried this would sound too much like "White Wedding" but it's totally holiday with a bit of Billys style mixed in 🎄 ❤

As a child of the 80s, I have always been a big fan of Billy Idol's music and videos; I love all his songs as well as his voice. This Christmas CD is just bland, boring, and tiresome.As a collector of good Christmas music, I was looking forward to this addition. I put this CD in the CD Player of my car this past holiday on my drive home to see family, and after listening to it twice (just to be sure), I knew this was gong to be donated to my favorite thrift store upon return.

A brand new Xmas album done in the spirit of the classics, but also like you've never heard them before. Billy Idol keeps it classy enough for the entire family young and old to enjoy. Probably the best version of "O Christmas Tree" I've ever heard. I highly recommend this album to ANYone that listens to vinyl at Christmas time.Would have been cool if it was pressed on colored vinyl. But maybe they did black to keep the vintage look of the album and artwork.

I really enjoyed this, I always liked Billy Idol. Great voice. Had no idea he had a Christmas CD until I found it by accident on Amazon. Thank you!

This is an odd record, either as a Billy Idol or Holiday release. He states in the liner notes the genesis for this record is that he sings these carols for his friends at Christmas, and they're a challenge to sing. I just don't think at age 65 he's able to pull off the Christmas classics. This would have worked much better as a rocker. I've got his 2005 single, "Yellin' at the Xmas Tree," and its great.Other reviewers have praised this record for its simplicity; Its simply Billy crooning well-known carols and Christmas standards, but I insist that is its weakness. He just doesn't have the voice to sing most of these songs. "White Christmas", "Silent Night," He's not Bing Crosby or Andy Williams exactly. What was he thinking? The rockabilly tracks, "Run Run, Rudolph" and "Jingle Bell Rock" work best. He should have made a hard rockin/attitude Holiday record- sort of "Rebel yell does Christmas." He does two originals, and "On Christmas Day," the final track, is easily my favorite.Not Recommended

Billy does a good job interpreting these Christmas standards in his own Elvis-inspired style. The album closes with a new collaboration with Steve Stevens, which is great in its' own right

反逆のロックンローラー、ビリー・アイドルのクリスマスソングです。顔はサウザー？だが歌声は超絶品です。彼らしくない珍品ＣＤという声もありますが、「アイズ」「トゥ・ビー・ア・ラヴァ―」が好きな人ならすんなりと受け入れられるかもしれません。モノラルで聞くと雰囲気がでます。クリスマスシーズンにお勧めです。再販ありがとうございます。値段もリーズナブル。以前、手放してしまい、もう手に入らないと諦めていましたが…。少し早いですが最高のクリスマスプレゼントになりました。

Just saw Billy perform in Vegas, seemed like xmas music was in order. Great CD.
