It works good. Took some adjustment. I did not receive Immanuel with the machine That was a disappointment. I only received A slip of paper On how to thread Singer. I have not seen on sewing machine In about10 years So manual what have been very helpful Injustice in Stitching Of the machine. Overall the machine works fairly well. I did buy the extended warranty. I had to go on YouTube To find out how to adjust detention on a machine to get my stitching just right. I did call amazon to ask for Find instruction booklet That should have been sent with the machine.

Great for total newbies!
I haven't been on a machine since high school but go on YouTube and follow the tutorials on how to thread to thread this machine and what the new boxed machine components come with and what they do. Go on Etsy and download how to make bags, pillows and potholders for $3 and build from there. Good luck.

I love Singer sewing machines.
I bought a basic machine, but I returned it because I could never figure out the tension of the stitches. Next time I'm going to buy a more expensive and professional one.

Refurbished
I bought this refurbished. It arrived internally dirty and full of lint. Tension was really off and still iffy even after maintenance and troubleshooting.Update: I requested an exchange over a week ago. It was set to arrive on 2/15. Tracking went from 'Out for delivery' to being replaced by a 'just shipped' notification and now there's nothing. No email or update.
