For 150 this is an excellent hair system compared to ones I've tried for far more. To make any system look good including this one you need to take a couple steps. First, you need to brush it out then wash it 2x with a quality cleanser, followed with a good conditioner. Make a template of your balding area using the clear plastic cap the unit ships on. Use that template to carefully cut the unit inside out using a sharp safety razor or box cutter. To install this unit, I decided to sew on clips. Since it's curly and my hair line doesn't show, clips avoid glue/ tape and I can take it off at night. Since it's a ploy unit it should not collect sweat/ oils so you don't need to wash more than 1x a week. Avoid heavy styling products and use a conditioning spray daily to keep unit from drying out. Also, expect the color to bump down about 1-2 shades after initial wash. My natural black washed to the perfect espresso brown.

There is a smell, but you need to prep the hair first !!All hairpieces have a coating on the hair, I shampooed mine 3 times with Dawn liquid soap while brushing thru with a gentle detangling brush and then conditioner.Hair will come out, no worries but be gentle and be aware that it does have a bad odor at first , use hair products to style !

This hair is very nice BUT it has an odor that will not go away! I tried to detox the unit, purchased wig odor neutralizer, fabric softener sheets….NOTHING works. Unfortunately I just pulled it out of the pack after 2 months so the return window has closed.

Overall, I simply love the product gave me major confidence back not one person has commented and how fake it looks. I swim and play many sports in this lasting a very long time if you’re using the correct glue, however, the biggest thing is, I had to wash scrub clean this unit over seven times before I could get any type of smell out of it After going swimming or getting it wet a little bit I can smell a horrible stench that continues to come out of the unit. I’ve tried using baking soda vinegar and still that smell continues to come.

I never did it in a unit like this. And I wasn't about to start when I first went to Do a test it wouldn't fit on my Chrome regardless of how I positioned it I guess my head is too wide And long.

Great texture to the hair and sits naturally. Definitely hit or miss with the hair fallout. In less than a month, I'm already seeing bald patches with gentle washes and brushing. I expect it to last longer for the price.

I had this in my wishlist for so long. I was planning to save up for a $500 unit and between $500-$1000 for a professional to install it. But I decided to give it the good Amazon + DIY try first and I’m SO glad I did. I watched various YouTube videos on how to cut it in to the shape of your head and how to properly install. I used wig glue and tapes for extra security. Rinsed and conditioned it before installing to get natural looking curls. The state the curls are in when it’s delivered just don’t look right haha. Cut the curls on the sides and back just a little to give it some structure. And I really don’t cut hair like that. Just take your time with it. Be precise with measurements of your head when cutting it in. Get a friend or partner to help if you can. But again I did it on my own and am very happy with the outcome so it is doable. I have my confidence back. I feel good leaving the house now, not having to worry about throwing on a hat or something to cover my head. Always picture ready. It’s worth every penny! Would definitely purchase again.(Make sure you’re delicate with it, finger comb when styling, don’t use too much product a little bit goes a long way, try not to get wet more than necessary, wear a silk or satin covering to bed to make the style and unit itself last longer)
