Great product
Love how it fits my Sous vide and holds my food down. Now I don’t have to purchase magnets or chains to keep the food from floating up.

Perfect companion for a Joule sous vide
I bought this container to use with my Joule sous vide (I think they have been rebranded as Breville), and it has worked perfectly. The cutout in the lid fits the Joule exactly, which helps keep everything stable while it’s cooking. One of the biggest advantages is that the lid dramatically reduces water evaporation. Even during long cooks, I don’t have to worry about adding water like I did when using a regular pot. The included rack and system also works very well. They keep the bags separated and prevent the meat from floating, which helps ensure everything cooks evenly without having to improvise with clips or heavy utensils. The container itself feels sturdy, is easy to clean, and has made sous vide cooking much more convenient. If you own a Joule and are still using another container, this is a worthwhile upgrade that makes the entire process easier.

Innovative Sous Vide Container with a Few Practical Challenges
After using a variety of containers for sous vide cooking, I can confidently say that purpose-built containers are generally much better than trying to adapt a stock pot or food storage bin. This Vpcok container has several clever ideas and comes very close to being an excellent solution. The biggest advantage is the lid design. It does a good job of reducing heat loss and evaporation during long cooking sessions. Compared to an open pot, water temperature remains more stable and there is much less need to top off the water during extended cooks. I also liked the straight-sided container design. It works particularly well with immersion circulators that use a spring clip mounting system. The sides provide a secure attachment point, and I had no trouble fitting several different circulators during testing. Another interesting feature is the integrated system designed to keep sous vide bags submerged. It is an innovative approach and generally works as intended. Keeping food fully underwater is important for even cooking, and the system helps accomplish that without requiring additional weights or accessories. Where the design becomes less successful is in day-to-day handling. The bag retention assembly is attached to the lid, which means the entire structure comes with it when the lid is removed. In practice, this makes accessing food a bit more awkward than I would prefer. The top retention mechanism is another area that could use improvement. It functions, but removing and reinstalling the assembly requires more effort than it should. During cooking sessions where food is checked or removed multiple times, the process becomes somewhat cumbersome. To be clear, these are usability concerns rather than functional failures. The container performs its primary job well. It maintains temperature efficiently, reduces evaporation, and accommodates a variety of immersion circulators. The materials and overall construction appear solid, and the container held up well through repeated heating and cleaning cycles. Overall, this is an innovative sous vide container that offers several genuine advantages over using a standard pot or storage bin. The heat-retaining lid, straight-sided design, and bag-submersion system all work well. The lid-mounted bag retention assembly and somewhat awkward side retention system prevent it from being perfect, but it remains a capable and useful sous vide container that will likely work very well for many users.

Again good quality and accuracy. Not a cheap plastic, very good construction of both.
I cook with sous vide and this container is perfect size and most of all the top of the lid helps keep food from coming to the top. The new design is worth buying because it gives you the advantage of both holding and keeping food down.

Greatly satisfied
This is a nice sous vide container. Used it for a rump roast on a 24 hour cook at 133.8 degrees. Great color and tenderness on the roast. Water evaporation was minimal, not even 1/2 cup. Perfect size container and well built with good side handles and silicone seal where the machine is placed for a perfect fit. This was a most pleasant experience. Thanks for fast shipping and an excellent product. I would buy again, if needed. I highly recommend this product.

must have for soux vide
must have to successfully use the soux vide. We went to a cooking class and the chef had a soux vide to make the filets we were preparing. We were in awe of how easy it is to cook perfect meat with the soux vide. We went straight home and bought one on amazon. Unfortutely to use the soux vide you have to seal the meat in plastic. This makes the meat float to the top and doesnt allow the meat to cook evenly... this is were the box comes in. this box hold the meat in the water at the bottom so the meat can cook evenly. I would highly recommend

Asking for a product liability lawsuit?
This design is awful for a Sous vide. It seems it is not meant for use with the lid, but that helps hold the temperature consistent. Bought this for our adult daughter but quickly realized how poorly this one is. I would choose something else.

Well designed product
I actually got to use the item that Amazon was demanding a review on. First, like the Amazon page implied, it fits my Sous Vide device just fine. I cooked chicken in it the first time I used it but it also looked like it could easily handle a small beef roast. It has a "shelf" that is actually designed to hold your food under the water and that is very convenient. The lid that goes on top of it seems to fit very well. Nothing wrong with this product that I could ascertain.

It actually makes a difference!
I had been using a soup pot I bought on amazon for $40 for years. It worked great (or at least, I thought it did). I was accustomed to removing the foil and topping it up before bed so that water level wouldn't drop too low, and I lived with the fact that the max water line was over the top of the pot. The food usually sunk to the bottom of the pot, so I never really worried about having to keep it down. Then food became really expensive and Costco had good discounts on brisket. The brisket didn't fit in my pot even after cutting it in half, so I decided it's time to upgrade. I paid more for the piece of plastic than I did the 20 pound brisket, but I figured I got myself into this mess and it's a hopefully one time purchase to get myself out. I cooked the brisket, it came out great, but it's too greasy a cut of meat for me to make more than once a year, so I guess I didn't need to upgrade. That being said, it IS an upgrade. I cooked that brisket for 51 hours and didn't top the water up once. The plastic tray kept it fully submerged (which was great because it was too big and kept trying to pop up), and now next I sous vide some ribs I won't have to cut them into 3 segments to keep them from poking up through the top of the pot. $100 is still more than I wanted to pay (that's why I stuck with the $40 soup pot for years), but this container really is nice. I'll probably still use the pot for my twice-weekly chicken breast cooks because the plastic container takes up much more counter space, but for ribs and any other overnight cooks this plastic container is definitely going to be my go-to from now on.

Excellent sous vide container.
Perfect container for 6 large sirloins. I love the fact you don’t need a clamp and how the lid ensures full submersion at all times. Buy this now it’s great.

Excellent Sous vide container.
Excellent container for sous vide. The lid keeps in the moisture so the container doesn’t run dry. Only one complaint I wish the legs attaching the plastic unit together were tighter fitting so the tray wouldn’t come apart when putting it in the water above your meat. I glued the tray together and it worked great. It’s a perfect size.

Purchase This For A Great Budget Container
I purchased this container when I first got my sous vide. I was on a budget and this checked all the boxes. If I had a higher budget I would have opted for a sous vide with a rack. It's been something I regretted not getting. It really helps separate the meats when you're cooking multiple portions. Have used this for about 2 years white frequently. It's held out great and is still crystal clear (no yellowing or staining of the plastic. Would recommend for anyone looking to purchase a well built, budget sous vide container.
