Value-Based Fees: How to Charge What You're Worth and Get What You Charge

A gold mine of helpful, practical, prescriptive information
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was immediately hooked. The advice in this book is specific, prescriptive, and well communicated. A fundamental point is to spend time with the client to establish specific outcomes, and there are many examples of how to think this way and articulate it. So far it is well worth the price and I can immediately use the information.

A must-read for every solopreneur or small business owner
From the first page, this book adds value to your business! Weiss walks the reader step by step through every aspect of value-based fees. A gold mine of information. It's not an inexpensive book, but the investment pays out within a few pages of reading.

Worth investing in! (Although I'm taking off a star for the physical book itself)
This is a very good book, and it actually proves its own point; i.e., I kept it because of the value of the information inside, despite the fact that the book itself isn't really great quality for the price. The pages and binding feel pretty low-quality for a book that's this pricey. I paid $75 for it, and while I certainly wouldn't want it to be coffee-table-book quality (because I highlighted and wrote in the margins), I *would* expect it to be textbook-quality, and it's not. It feels-- in weight, texture, and thickness of the cover-- like a "cheap bargain-bin reprint" kinda book.(I feel like this is a lesson in knowing your customers, too, since my guess is the author's target audience isn't all that concerned with the quality of the book itself, and if I were to attempt a project like this, I believe MY target audience would absolutely be concerned about the book's quality. In other words, a branding lesson!)All of that said, the information in this book is VERY high-quality. I recommend the book for a freelancer or consultant who is tired of undervaluing your work and wants both the inspiration and the practical how-to of raising your prices in a way that benefits all parties concerned (you, the client, your entire business). Despite my slight dissatisfaction noted above, it's worth the investment!
