I originally purchased these to make paper lanterns, to put over a string of Christmas lights and have glowing lanterns. However, please note that this product IS NOT WASHI PAPER. It is very dense, with a glossy finish. They make terrible lanterns, because the light cannot get through the material at all. That being said, the designs are very beautiful (some I didn't even want to fold - I wanted to frame them instead), and the price is fantastic. There eight different patterns, six sheets of each, which is good if you fudge up the first couple of times. I wish there was more variety, but for this price it's a very good deal.

I used this paper for collage, and I was very impressed with the paper quality. It is light and thin (not flimsy) but doesn't curl or wrinkle in the least from a glue stick. It looks similar to magazine paper but is much higher quality. And the images are beautiful.

I just ordered these to make origami Japanese kimonos for my 5x7 greeting cards. Looking forward to using the paper, which has a solid color on the backside.

The papers are just beautiful, perfect for origami and the larger size washi paper is perfect for beginning to this craft.

The paper is pretty and big enough to do unit origami. Only a few models are included so you need to use another source for that.

These are some of the most beautiful papers that I have ever seen. The prints are rich in color and the paper is nice feeling and strong. Honestly, I almost don't want to fold it because the prints are so pretty.

This is beautiful paper. Quite thick, but surprisingly easy to fold, considering the thickness. I was able to fold a moderately complex model of a hummingbird with it, even though that's not really the sort of design it is recommended for.

Die Motive der Papiere haben mich sehr interessiert und so schaute ich mir alle Packungen, die dem Konzept der traditionellen japanischen Bilder auf Origamipapier folgten, an. Meine Wahl fiel auf diese, da mir sowohl die Papiermotive als auch die Modelle auf dem Cover sehr gut gefielen. Nach Erhalt der Ware kam schnell die ernüchternde Einsicht: Beim Papier handelte es sich mal wieder um bedruckte Blätter, wie man sie aus Zeitschriften kennt (nur ein wenig dicker). Diese Drucktechnik hat leider zur folge, dass entlang jeder Faltung die Farbe abplatzt und hässliche weiße Linien entstehen. Das fertige Modell sieht dementsprechend miserabel aus. Noch mehr hat mich aber geärgert, dass die in der Packung enthaltenen Anleitungen nicht zum Titelbild passen. Weder die Blüte noch der Schmetterling, noch die Blüte sind enthalten. Statt dessen gibt es die üblichen, schon in tausenden Publikationen zusammenkopierten traditionellen Modelle Kranich, Ballon, Schwan, Pfau, Kimono und Sternenschachtel. Das mag viel klingen, gibt es aber zu Hauf in anderen Büchern und Zeitschriften und gratis auf hunderten von Webseiten. Mein Fazit: Das Papier sieht nett aus, eignet sich aber nicht zum Falten. Die Anleitungen sind redundant. Das Cover ist irreführend.

I ordered this not for origami, but instead as stationary since the only traditional stationary paper I can find is boring. It's beautiful paper with a picture on one side and solid colour on the other. I didn't realize the paper was glossy which posed a slight set back because writing on it is not possible with regular pens. Using permanent marker does the trick. The size is great for writing paper.
