Drum Practice Pad - Compact for Portability, Two-Sided with Different Hardness (Red/Grey) - 8"I recently received the Scalze drum practice pad that I ordered. It's first impressions set the stage for what more was to come. The packaging was top quality--it was in a nice white box held by a custom cut styrofoam block. So many items I order from Amazon just show up in a plastic bag--not this one. The pad itself is just as advertised--two sided with each side a different hardness and 8" in size. The wood between the pads is finished with a high quality black, semi-gloss finish. I chose the red and grey model and the "fit and finish" is superb. I ordered this as a gift for a close friend of mine who has some sort of "percussion curse"--at least that's what I tell him jokingly since he beats out drum rythms wherever we go. He recently ended up getting rid of his drum set due to some current family space and noise issues. Anyway, this practice drum pad was super well received. I am a hero to both him and his wife now. He can keep his skills sharp and the house is quiet for the moment. He loved the quality and the thoughtfulness of the gift and figures this should last him pretty much forever--at least a very, very long time. Thank you Scalze, you helped make me a hero......

The product shipped on time. It came in the exact specifications that I expected. The Scalze drum pad is durable and easily transported. Both sides have a realistic rebound. It is quiet enough to play anywhere. The quality of this product is superior to other drum pads I have played on. 10/10 would recommend to others.

Not too heavy and perfect for drum practice for travel or times you need to be quiet. I love it.
