Good evening, Fit wise, yes, this may fit a 10 year old depending on their shoe size, but I would suggest talking to their doctor first to ensure they would want a tall boot to be used for their injury. Thank you!

The Size Small should work, but if you are worried about the width of the calf, going up a size might help.

Hi Caleen, I am a size 8 1/2 and size small is right for me. The boot comes with extra pads if you need,(you say your calf is thin). Size small may be right for you.

I didn't experience loss of air. I would try pumping it a little tighter.
