Material lacks sufficient support
The material the mat is made of is too soft and pliable. Just having a chair sit on the mat overnight without any weight on it left dimples in the mat. If you attempt to sit on a chair on the mat for any periods of time performing tasks the mat severely deforms and make it even harder to move the chair than just on carpeting. I've tried the mat on a deep shag carpet as well as think industrial carpet at the office. It performs slightly better on the industrial carpet but I find the material it made from to be entirely too soft for the purpose the mat is intended to serve.

Good for saving your rug
I immediately put this mat under my chair when I first received it and took this photo. It comes rolled up in a plastic mailing bag. It went into a proper flatness within minutes on my rug after I unrolled it. It's designed to go on a medium pile rug, so it has studs under it and it's a pliable mat. When I roll on it in my chair, it leaves a temporary impression where the wheels of my chair were. Rolling on the mat actually feels that same as just being on the rug, but this mat will save my rug some wear and tear. The only downside is an odor like a skunk smell, but I think it's a typical smell that comes on new synthetic materials that will dissipate quickly.

Crappy!!
Constantly bubbles up away from the carpet. Or is you sit with the chair in one position too long, the wheels leave indentation marks making it hard to roll smoothly. It’s thin, it’s cheap! It does not work well on carpet! Don’t buy it!

Don't Expect it Ready-to-Use
The way it comes packaged is tightly rolled up. The mat is pretty thick so it will take some strong hands and weight to unroll it. Then you will need a few days of weight on it, or creative heating, to keep it laying flat. It will not be ready to use the day you get it.That said, once it's able to lay flat, it's pretty durable and quality floor mat.

Cheap, somewhat flimsy, but good for my application
I needed a plastic mat so I could slide a storage chest in and out from under my RV. I didn't want to pay alot. This product was cheap. It still has a bit of a curl to it but works fine. If you wanted to slide an office chair with a worker of moderate weight over it dozens of times daily for several years? I'm a bit skeptical.

You get what you pay for.
Maybe I just bought the wrong one.I looked at much more expensive mats and was actually going to buy one when I got a notification saying that this one was back in stock. Apparently, I saved it and I bought it without hesitation. In any case, it isn't the best. I have thicker carpet so there's a pretty good chance this was a case of me just not doing my research. It does the job well enough since It's mainly for appearance and not functionality. I don't think it would stand up to heavy usage.

It tends to dlip around on the carpet
I'm handicapped so I got to in order to slide across it to & from my commode with help of s care giver to make it easier on my knees & ankles. The 2 problems with this is it tends to slip around on the carpet when I make a transfer + of course to ship it they had to roll it up & it took a while to get it flat again ,the nubs on the underneath don't seem to secure it good to the carpet. But my use for it is more unique than most people!

Too thin
I had to return the mat. I thought it would be sturdy enough to roll my oak chair on and instead the rollers sunk into the mat so it just was thick enough for my needs. It might be okay for a thin carpet, but my carpet really isn’t plush.. just not flat. Anyway, it wasn’t right so I returned it and will keep looking for a heavy duty type. Thank you Amazon for being there for us to do all of this during there difficult times!
