Perfect little storage cabinet
1/18/21: Quick update: So, my collection has nearly doubled :-D I need more storage & I'm seriously considering a 2nd one. Not only has it survived nearly 3 years, as sturdy as day 1, but it survived moving - admittedly, I wasn't very careful (I taped the doors shut & threw it in my backseat with everything still inside - don't judge me lol). It held up better than the 2 flimsy media towers we use for actually storing DVD's (diff brand /seller), since 1 of them snapped in half. For $100, this sturdy little beast exceeded my expectations. 1 other quick comment: Since I wasn't using it for DVD's, the shelves were spaced quite far apart for my needs. I made some DIY "risers" to optimize space, doubling the amount of items I could fit. Had I bought an actual "display cabinet", wall-mounted rack, or something designed specifically for my purposes, I would've paid double, for potentially for less space, or low quality junk. I find getting creative with search efforts - especially when it comes to storage - can give better value for your money (don't fall for "product-specific marketing). This could also be used to display collectibles, POPS Vinyl figures, model cars/Hot Wheels, antiques, or a variety of small items (since CD's & DVD's are becoming obsolete). Just check dimensions!!! And it's a nice looking cabinet that easily matches other furniture in my home. April 2018: Literally just finished putting this together and I'm quite impressed that I managed to do this alone. I'm a small female who isn't very handy - it took maybe an hour to assemble... with distractions. I searched the internet for a month for a solution to organize all of my nail supplies (for approx 80+ colored acrylic jars, gels, etc). I wanted something that looked nice, on a budget, & matched the rest of the furniture. The instructions were comprehensible, it is exactly as described, & was simple to do. In my opinion, some of the negative reviews are either exaggerating, user error, or perhaps the product & instructions were improved/updated. If I can manage putting this together, by myself, anyone can do it lol. This was the best cabinet I found - based on price, size, quality, with glass doors (which was what I really needed)!! It also has magnets to keep the doors closed & a strap on the back, if you wanted to mount it to the wall for extra support (recommended if you have thick carpets - to avoid it tipping over).

High quality, American instructions!
So many times before I have purchased bookcases, TV stands, end tables, etc. that have been made out of cheap materials with instructions that were poorly written and hard to follow. Well when this stand first arrived at my doorstep and I picked it up for the first time I could tell immediately that this thing was heavy duty and not some cheap particle board knock-off (it's heavy!!). I laid it down and opened it for the first time and the wood smelled great and fresh and all the pieces looked like some serious craftsmanship went into them. For those purchasing this stand, I cannot recommend it more. Here are some things I learned during assembly: 1) First, I was able to put this together on my own just fine. Obviously having additional help will speed things up and make things easier, but one person can still assemble this on their own. 2) Assuming you are putting this together on your own, it will probably take you a couple hours. I don't see how anyone can put this together in 15 minutes. Then again, I'm very careful about what I do to make sure I don't miss anything. 3) Read the first page! It tells you to use glue on all dowels before inserting them. The step-by-step instructions don't tell you to use glue when inserting the dowels and assume you have already read this. It also tells you to not use a power tool during assembly, which I would recommend. Screwing everything in by hand can get tedious, but it's probably safer. 4) Feel free to be deliberate when using glue. They give you three bottles and I only used two during the whole process putting glue on both ends of the dowels as directed by the manufacturer. 5) Sometimes the numbered stickers that mark the pieces are placed where other pieces will go so they become difficult to remove at the end. I would simply move the sticker over to another spot that won't be covered by another piece. 6) I did not use the back panel pieces (orange plastic pieces with screws) to hold the panels in place. I think they're somewhat of an eyesore and it seems like the panels should stay in place on their own. This may be more of a personal preference, though. This is a great stand, very attractive, and well worth it. They even include stickers that are wood textured to match the stand itself so you can cover any visible cam locks!

I followed the stages.. the main parts were easy to put together. What I dislike though were those tiny nails and trying to line up and attach the back. I found that I was afraid to split the wooden edges trying to hammer those nails in...also difficult to keep it in place while doing it. Main parts were easy to put together....the back...."a pain in the butt"!!! Trying to do it while the unit was vertical was very hard....then I had to put it face down to do it and risk scratching the surface or dislodging the bolts.........so.....hot glued parts of it....and said "I'm done"!!!!!

The storage cabinet was easy to assemble.

Looks good, was fairly simple to put together (about 35 minutes to assemble). It's a little thinner than it needs to be to keep totally sturdy, but if you're willing to nail it to your wall (I wasn't so I can't speak to its effectiveness) with the stabilization strap it should be no problem. The handles are plastic, not metal. Not sure if it mentioned that in the description and I just missed it.

in spite of assembly difficulties, a neat little cabinet to store things. I inserted Buffalo plaid fabric behind the glass panels to hide the mess.
