This is what you need for a BMW 535i
If you’re like me you've just recently discovered the joys of working on a BMW. Which is why I assume you’re reading this. Yes, this is exactly what you need. Just buy it. And buckle up, this won’t be the last specialty socket you’ll need while working on a BMW. But best believe Amazon has your back, I’ve bought all my tools and parts from right here with no complaints. Just remember to enter the EXACT( I can’t stress that enough) Model/Year of your BMW.ETA- If you’re doing a Valve cover gasket, don’t skimp and buy just the gasket, buy the cover as well (they sell them as a set for a reason). Also, get ready to do a tune-up, get ready to change the Coolant tank, the oil filter housing gasket, the thermostat, and the water pump. You will also need genuine BMW (Blue coolant, DO NOT MIX WITH ANYTHING ELSE!) On top of that you’ll More than likely need the crankcase breather hose (which breaks when removing the Valve cover). And since you’re fooling around below, it’s not a bad idea for an oil change.*May the lord help you if you’ve got turbos...Anyways, For whatever reason the aforementioned parts almost always fail around the same time. Good luck, and keep a 12 pack on deck, maybe 3.

You Need it if You Own a BMW Turbo Engine
Imagine my surprise when the job I promised my wife would take 15 minutes, didn't happen at all. Turns out these newer BMW turbo engines have special spark plugs that require a special tool. I mean, imagine that, a special tool on a German car? My tool box is already full of them.Anyway, this tool does the trick. It's think walled and removes and installs the plugs easily. No issues on removal or reinstallation. And not too expensive either. I was worried about those thin walls, but you're not applying much torque so should not be an issue long term.

Careful of the metal bristles
good size does the job, downside is it has metal bristles to hold the spark plug in the socket while you pull it out. why is this bad you ask. well they break very easily. if they break while pulling a spark plug out and it falls down into the combustion chamber then you have a bigger problem getting that piece out of there. my advice. once you buy this, take some pliers and rip them out, they'll break off anyways. just use a magnet to pull out the spark plug. much safer and will save you the hassle of a foreign object resting on the piston

Works well
Needed this to change plugs in my girlfriends Nissan Murano. Worked like a champ since nobody else in town had one at the time

Works too good.
Works a little too good. The inside of the socket has gripper tongs that hold the spark plug when lifting it out of the head. Problem is the socket stays on the spark plug after tightening the new one down. I used masking tape on the joints of my socket/extension to get it out. A PIA but it seems well made and was reasonably priced.

Garbage at best
Terrible quality I did not expect such a low quality tool from Amazon. I am a professional automotive technician and I was looking for a snapon alternative, this is NOT it. They should not be allowed to sell such low quality products. Shame on Amazon for allowing this. Total rip off! Wtf is with the metal tabs inside the socket?

Worked Perfect for American Standard- Shower Diverter Valve
Didn't have a deep enough socket for my shower/tub diverting valve.....worked perfect with a ratchet.

Mini F56 - Works great.
No problem changing the NGK Iridium plugs that come with the F56 Mini Cooper S with this tool. I was a bit worried because of previous reviews and not wanting springing for a magnetic socket. I'll probably only use this tool every four years so didn't think it was worth it to spend any more and I'm glad I didn't. This socket worked great, no issues with the metal spring thing inside to hold the plug in the socket. Easy in, secure hold, easy out.
