Strong retraction, lightweight, comfortable, with push-brake!
This is the greatest leash! I've gone through so many styles: retractable (but a cheaper one), regular nylon, bungee, and they're all a pain. This is the best leash I've ever had. It's relatively lightweight, it's relatively comfortable (although the comfort grip could be softer, and it could use some perforation so your hand stays cooler, but these are not huge issues for me). It retracts very smoothly and quietly, and actually works -- unlike so many other retractable leashes that require that you help to guide the tape back into the leash. The only time it doesn't easily retract is when there is just too much weight on it (I have a bungee splitter leash that I attach to it, and that doesn't affect the leash's retraction; but when I add a leash extender to both sides of the bungee splitter, that's too heavy and it won't retract well). A great feature is that in addition to pushing the little thumb trigger forward to lock the leash at any given length, you can also just depress the trigger for a temporary brake. While it probably doesn't actually take more than a fraction of a second longer to lock the leash, for some reason, I find the brake feature really useful! Also, I bought the little treat compartment/poo bag attachment and that is such a great design. It clips securely onto the leash, so you don't have anything banging and clanging. I'm using it for bags right now, since it came with some, but I plan to use it for treats, so I can do more training during walks. I wish they had a double-compartment, so I could have one for bags and another for treats. But this is still very good. Seems like a smartly designed and quality manufactured item. I'm very pleased and highly recommend it (and the treat/bag compartment, too!).

Greatest retractable leash for the money
Love the brand for the hand grip. I purchased one years ago at a yard sale and we really liked the design of the hand grip. It was pink and our boy was a boy, but who cares? Anyway, tried other brands and nothing comes to the comfort of the Flexi. Actually, even searched the brand a few times with no luck. Finally came up on a search and I clicked buy as fast as I saw product. Highly recommend! Especially great for guys with larger hands as the grip has ample room. This one even offers adjustment for different sized hands. The actual leash is sturdy and of good quality as well. You know how some leashes have a little cord and then some type of cheap string? Well this brand is a nice strong and sturdy cord throughout making it less likely to knot and tangle. It’s a bit heavier than some brands, but I promise the weight is worth it.

Just get Flexi don't waste your time on any other brand
Per my title, I've been buying these kinds of things for 25 years. All of them break, won't retract fall apart or simply die after a year and are a pain. Flexi's cost more by a few bucks, but you can even find deals like I did with this one and save 10 or 15 bucks over a brick and mortar even Walmart when they have them. Most of the other ones I HATE I got when we forgot the Flexi's and couldn't find one. And I always have regretted it. They are heads and tails above the rest, last for years, seldom hang up and when they do fix easy by just pulling in and out. They can take a hit, drop or fifteen and keep going. If you got a big dog get the big 26 footer as you can shorten as you need to and you know how they are. You got a runner, watch out, they can get up to speed fast and almost jerk your shoulder out if not careful. I have one that cannot resist a deer within a hundred yards. No problem for the Flexi though. She hasn't whacked one yet and hates it when I drop it and it retracts toward her neck. Stops her faster than my yelling. Don't waster your time or money on any other one of these. Get Flexi. Walmart quit selling for a year or so awhile back (best brick and mortar pricing) and about a year later had them back. I know why... Customers likely complained and returned the NEW brand Walmart got. They went back to Flexi's. This is the new type vs the old classics. It is adjustible for hand size slightly different setting switch but still good. Just a few more bells and whistles we dont' use. I prefer the classic which you can still get sometimes cheaper but this one is nice and just as robust. Just buy Flexi... German engineering and manufacture. High quality.

Great leash for any dog
this is an excellent leash! it has a long lead, heavy duty and easy to use. you can use your thumb to lock and hold locked for as long as you want, or you can lock the lock into place. The lead has never tangled inside the leash ever. This has been thrown around and taken on many trips and still works like brand new!

Pretty good for the price
The handle is sturdy and thick and fits comfortably in the hand. I have a 3 y/o lab and she loves tk run and explore, so the length of leash is really nice, the lock works well but can stick sometimes. The only thing to watch is that the leash is ribbon like, so it will snag on branches and can start to pull apart. Otherwise it's a good product and I will buy again when needed.

Great Leash!
This has been our favorite leash purchase for our miniature Dachshund! We have an 11.5lb Doxie and this leash is the perfect size! I also really like the pretty blue color. It’s nice to not have a basic or standard black typical leash. It’s very durable and doesn’t twist up. There’s a locking feature that’s very easy to use and the length of the actually leash is great. Not too long, and not too short. Our Doxie is able to explore well on the leash! The retractability of the leash is fast and doesn’t get knotted up. I would definitely recommend this leash!

Best Leash, Quality Brand - Flexi Retractable Leash
This new Flexi (white/black) is AMAZING!!! I've used the Flexi Retractable-L (Red leash) for 15 years, which should speak for itself. It's been solid and dependable; however, after 15 yrs of use and a new pup chewing on it, I felt I needed something newer, safer and better. My German Shep-Lab mix pup is just turning 2yrs old. She is very strong and still gets excited, pulls, etc. The new Flexi leash provides the stability and security that I have needed. I now feel I am in control and she is no longer walking or dragging me. Initially, I was surprised by the size of leash, which was the Large size, but decided to try it out and honestly, am beyond satisfied/happy with this purchase! The handle has supportive grip, so not to slide and is adjustable for a secure fit for any hand size. The versatile 26ft leash length (I chose for our needs) is smooth, sturdy and overall great, giving her the ability to run freely or walk close to me, etc. The buttons are easy to use, and much more efficient and more comfortable than the old model. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this leash and the FLEXI brand! This is a QUALITY, durable item in material and use, and you will feel that the moment you test it out. As far as the Flexi brand, if my first one can survive 15 yrs and is now a back up leash, then I know the new leash will prove to be just as dependable, already superior in every way and worth the price.

Line unexpectedly snapped at clip
Nice flexi until the Line unexpectedly snapped at the clip. My dog was outside a competition event when the line unexpectedly snapped at the clip and she was running loose near traffic. After a few scary moments of enjoying her freedom she remembered her recall and came back to me. The line seems to wear out faster than other flexi leads I have used before
