More durable then some play food we've seen....
This product arrived quickly and was well packaged. Our children were recently gifted a wooden kitchen set, but we had no pretend food! Most of the plastic food sets we looked at came with cheap, cardboard "food" items as well, but I knew those wouldn't last more than 5 minutes. We decided to order some pretend food items and supplement with some real product containers that we finish off in our own kitchen. This set is cute, very colorful, and a great size for little hands. I am glad we chose this set because the plastic used to make the food pieces is very strong and is not going to collapse or break easily. We have a five year old, a four year old, and a two year old, and each of them has been having a great time playing with these foods. There is plenty of pieces for everyone to have enough on their little plate without fighting, and it is not an overwhelming amount of stuff to keep stored in your kitchen set. I am sure that this pretend food will last long enough for their baby sister to play with when she's big enough, too! Each piece is "sliced" and connects to its other half with velcro; this is their favorite part! If you have some plastic knives you can "cut" the food and share! The velcro seems very secure and strong. I am not worried about it coming apart anytime soon! Even if it did, this would be an easy fix with some hot glue and a velcro circle pair. Sometimes it is even hard for the kids to get the pieces apart by pulling, so they'd rather "cut" it, which is probably even easier on the velcro adhesive.I like the detail on the food pieces. The inside of the fruits have seeds, and the fish has bones inside. Some of the fruits, such as the watermelon, banana, and pineapple, are not very realistic as far as size is concerned, but that is fine for saving space in your play kitchen set. This does not seem to bother the kids at all while they're playing. It's all just pretend anyway, right? Their favorite food piece is the pizza since it can be "cut" into slices. This would be really cute with a rolling pizza cutter! They also love the mini cutting board that came with the set.Overall, the food set is durable, colorful, and has provided them with lots of fun and pretend play! If anything changes with this set then I'll update the review. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Fun for littles but need a hot glue gun for Velcro repair
Two pieces of Velcro fell off the first day of use. I got glued those two pieces and it was good to go again. My 3yr old and 4yr old love cutting the sections apart

New favorite toy
My son is a super picky eater, but he loves playing in the kitchen. We've been looking for good quality, but not super expensive things for him to use to 'help out' He loves being able to slice of the food and serve it just like we do.

Nice but....
Bought this for my little girl Birthday. I was excited because she likes to use other objects like puzzles and call it pizza in her play kitchen. So I mainly got it for the pizza. It arrived in only a clear plastic bag. Not very presentable for a gift, if I was giving it to someone else. And the plastic bag was open. I can only assume all the plastic fruit and veggies was in it. Some had scuff marks on them but it probably would be hard to get a bag without scuffs and there was a piece of hair in the bag so I don't know if that means it was used or not before it was sent to me. A piece of Velcro wasn't attached to the pizza. So part of the pizza would not have attached for my baby which as I said, I mainly got it for the pizza. I put in for a replacement or a return. And the system only allowed a return which means that I have to wait to get my money back after they get the item and my printer is out of ink to be able to print the label. And I will also have to possibly buy a small box to return it in if I can't find one for the safe return of there product. The point is, it will be a hassle. So I will be repurchasing from another seller for three dollars more that actually includes a plastic storage bag that will be much more presentable as a gift, so she can keep her items stored in it instead of a clear plastic bag she will have to throw away. Other than that seems like it will fun to play with.

they were useless. Disappointing
VELCRO ISSUES! Please check all velcro before turning the kids loose with these - they could pose a choking hazard! First, they come "assembled" so of course my first course of action was to separate them and see how they work. Upon separating, half of the velcro came right off the plastic, meaning unless I wanted to stick or glue them back on, they were useless. Disappointing. Second, the velcro that did stick on was VERY strong, making it difficult to separate them by hand, as you know your toddler will want to do. Twisting them eases this effort, but most toddlers will try to simply pull them apart, which may lead to some frustration and flying fruits and vegetables! They do "cut" with the knife as intended, which is great, but it does require a little force which may be hard for some little ones. You can avoid this issue by just gently putting them back together until they get the hang of it. They are super cute, and I am sad they didn't quite meet my expectations - they just don't make toys like they used to :( I realize these are mass assembled, so in lieu of returning them, I went through and re-set the velcro, pushed them on really hard (did not have to break out the glue gun yet) and it seems to be sticking much better. Also, one could replace the velcro when these wear out, which is nice. We will see how they hold up to my granddaughter and I will update my review. I do think she will love them and feel like quite the big girl cutting her own food!
