What are the ingredients in this mix? They aren't listed on this page.

Amazon shows I've ordered this 29 times over the years. Only in the past 9 months have they started sending me the wrong product. Unfortunately, it has the same UPC as the product I order. What I want and used to receive has "Sweet ground chocolate" as the first ingredient, but starting this year, I've been received a similar, but not nearly as good, product that lists sugar as the first ingredient. The label is different (white writing, for one thing) but the UPC code is now the same. You can look at the 2 products yourself. Amazon sells one for $19 or so and the other for $23 or so but in the last 8 months what I have received is the white lettering product with sugar as the first ingredient. This despite the fact it isn't what I ordered. I have talked to numerous Amazon reps about this and the last one figured out the same UPC issue but it is infuriating that they continue to show the wrong product on their website and people like me, who look at the image of the ingredients, think they are ordering what they've always ordered, but that's not what they get. Don't buy this unless you want something that is more sugar than chocolate. And, Amazon, if you read this, how about fixing your false advertising. Hmm, that gives me an idea. I think I'll complain to the FTC about your false advertising. Maybe then you'll take this product off your website.

How many 8 oz. cups of beverage can you make from the 48 oz. can?

The can I have "Ghirardelli Chocolate Frappe" is 50 oz and the instructions are for "specialty coffee retailers." There are instructions for three 16oz drinks listed on the back (plain, espresso & coffee frappe) all using 4oz of the mix. So if you want 8oz instead of 4 you'd use half (2 ounces) and get 25 drinks.

Is there ANY caffeine in this? I have severe caffeine allergy, but love white chocolate.

There is also, according to the label, no actual cocao in this product. It's just a highly Sweetened non-dairy creamer. No actual white chocolate.

How many servings is this?

It depends on what you are using it for. I use it both as an addition to my coffee in the morning, but also for baking. I use it to make a mocha coffee, using about 1 (one) TABLEspoon per big mug. The recommended individual serving is 3 tablespoons. That would be an awful lot of cocoa in a cup of coffee. But it might be a reasonable amount if you are, in fact, making hot chocolate with milk. It takes us a very long time to get through a 10 lb box. Once I receive the box, I open it up and divide the box into a bunch of different serving sizes. I keep a container that holds a bit over one pound ready to hand. I have a vacuum sealer, so I will portion out the contents of the 10 lb box into smaller units. This way, the cocoa stays fresh longer – and I'm not having to dig into the whole box every time I want to replenish my smaller supply. It just makes it easier. I buy in bulk because the smaller sizes on the supermarket shelves are significantly more expensive.

This product is superb. I use a heaping teaspoon along with a near teaspoon of sugar in a cup, and then make a mocha latte out of it with my Jura espresso maker, stir it up, and enjoy. I've tried other cocoa powders (Guittard Rouge, Hershey's, et al.), and this is by far the most satisfying and delicious of all of them for my purposes. I also appreciate the very large size of the can, since this will last me for months, so despite the initial outlay, it's very economical on a per use basis. This is also much tastier than Ghirardelli Premium Chocolate sauce sold in a squeeze bottle (good luck ever getting all of it out and actually using what you paid for), and as good as using a bag of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers (which makes a decadent mocha latte when you add 10-12 of them to a cup and melt them with espresso and stir, but gets pricey). Highly recommended. This product actually exceeded my expectations.

This stuff is amazing. I used to buy a Starbucks hot chocolate all the time, but now I make my own hot chocolates with this awesome Ghirardelli powder for less money - that tastes even better! Definitely genuine Ghirardelli product as I have purchased this from The Shopping Channel as well.
