Great bulk value, happy birds and wallet
I've been through about two bags a month for the bird feeder in my NY backyard. Per pound, this feed is (usually) a bargain value comparative to quantity of other smaller bags of feed. There is little/to no waist for the birds in the NY region. Great blend. The dense bag it is packed in is sturdy (resembles rigid bags that charcoal is packed in) and I've yet had any spill with shipping - its shipped each time to me in a box fitted to the size of the bag. Advise not to use a box cutter to open the box, or anything sharp, scissors, as you may inadvertently tear through the box into the bag. Otherwise, if you are a frequent birdfeeder this is very economical and environmentally sound compared to other packaged products!Edit: Update for picture of feeder and how much is eaten in a day by neighborhood birds, mostly sparrows and doves, however cardinals and bluejays have been spotted - regions specific, Long Island, NY. I frequently have to refill this feeder on a daily basis, through the winter. I'm sure more species will be attracted to this feed once spring migration is complete.

Almost perfect.
I normally get Katy Birdseed, but it was going to take too long to get here, so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did, because the birds LOVE it! I think they might like it better than the Katy seed. I have three hanging feeders and I put peanuts out on a table, (at least until the jerk squirrel decided to do what those pests do) and the majority of the Flycatchers (I have a flock that visits every day) Prefer to forage on the porch for dropped seed from the feeders over eating peanuts! I'd say that's a pretty good endorsement. The *only* thing that I don't like about it is that this seed is very dusty, but as long as you fill the feeders outside, it should be fine. I filled them inside and it cause the room to get dusty.

The "little ladies and gentlemen" approve!
My feathered neighbors have been quite happy! This blend attracts a nice variety of birds; I've counted at least a dozen different species, from little sparrows to big, bright jays. It's also really nice to be able to get a 30-pound bag of seeds, dump them into a dog food bin, and refill my feeder as needed, without having to pick up a new (smaller) bag every time I go to the grocery store.

The Cardinals Absolutely Love It
I started feeding the squirrels, 2 doves and some sparrows last winter. I then gained a beautiful pair of cardinals roosting in the oak tree in the back yard. Soon three Bluejays have been coming by and the cardinals have increased their family and brought others. I counted 17 Cardinals this morning including the adults and young. The dear come by after dark to eat what the birds and the squirrels left behind. I have a feeder that I fill, I put some on the ground and lower feeders to. The cardinals love the sunflower seeds. When you open the bag, the seed looks good and smells good. I’ve bought this several times and will buy again.

Crawling in weevils
Regreting not taking a picture but it was so horrifying (the seeds looked like they were moving in the bag, it was so crawling with weevils) that I threw it into the garbage outside as quickly as I could and got to cleaning/vacuuming in case some got out into my home. The birds loved this seed, no complaints there. They heavily favored sunflower seeds so I was supplementing with a bag of sunflower seeds leaving this bag stretching for months. I'd had it for probably 3 months before the weevil explosion. Maybe they started with a few and I didn't notice (they're pretty small) but once I really noticed it was a complete infestation. I get the heebies just thinking about it. It could have been Amazon's storage conditions, but heads up you may wish to be careful about where you put this. I also ended up with pantry moths and the traps I put around the house after I threw out all of my dry goods (sadly) seemed to catch moths in the area the bird seed was being stored. Just an insect nightmare. I've lived in this house for 20 years and this is the first of either of these 2 insects I've ever dealt with. Hopefully the last!
