The instrument is made from well crafted aluminium with plastic fittings and a bright light. I bought it because my wife periodically gets wax in her ear and I wanted to take a scientific approach in understanding the extent of the problem. I had no trouble using it and get a clear view of the ear drum. I've also ordered a good ear irrigation kit to flush out the wax. This instrument is what doctors use and although camera imaging otoscopes might seem attractive, pushing a thin metal probe into someone's ear can go badly wrong. And the idea of digging around with a a spatula horrifies me. Recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  This is an excellent Professional Otoscope, Perfect for diagnosis of the ear, Nose and throat, It comes with 3 bayonet lock zoom lenses ranging from 2.5mm to 3.5mm and also 4.5mm. With a lovely metallic finish, It also comes with a convenient lined waterproof zip case and takes 2x C batteries. You can choose between 4 colors, I chose the yellow. The light output is impressive, And i found it very easy to switch lenses to my desired zoom level. I could see clearly into the ear, Nose and throat, This is definitely Physician quality. Great buy!

I had to return this as couldn’t find any disposoable covers therefore couldn’t use it. I’m sure the quality of the product was fine
