Worked Perfect Right Out Of The Box!
I have a TV mounted cleanly on a stand in the lobby of my office. I did not want a bunch of additional electronic devices and cables cluttering up the area. So I purchased these in hopes that I would be able to mount my cable box in TJ basement with the rest of the office network electronics.I ran a piece of CAT6 Ethernet cable between these two devices. The run was about 60 feet long. As soon as I applied power to them, they both established a link and functioned perfectly. I did not need to make any adjustments as mentioned in the included manual. Aside from the time to run the CAT6 cable nearly down to the basement, I would say it takes only 15 minutes to plug these in and have them up and working. My favorite feature is the infrared repeater that is built in. This allows me to control my cable box which is mounted in the basement from the comfort the lobby where the TV is located.I definitely recommend these.

Slim Profile, Solid Construction, Works Great, Power over Ethernet
I'm very impressed with this unit. It seems to have a solid build, and works as advertised. I'm using it to extend my AV system to my projector via 90 feet of CAT-6e cable. I chose this unit over the other similarly priced units because this one offered POE (power over ethernet). You only have to plug the transmitter into the AC power, not the receiver. I didn't need the extra cord hanging from the ceiling!

Great product
Would be 5 stars but the instructions were not very clear regarding how to use the EDID switch. Make sure to switch EDID to "L" so that it uses the sound capabilities of the remote system you are transmitting to. Use "R" if your audio receiver is right next to the transmitter. My receiver is next to the remote TV and I had it on "R" which was giving me only stereo audio. I was about to return it until I realized. Now dolby digital coming through perfect. The video and audio quality are perfectly preserved. Very very happy with this. Great how it uses power over ethernet.

Great quality can't beat flexibility
So convenient! This hdmi extender over cat5 is an awesome option to get an hdmi cable through tough spots and to almost any location. The fact that cat5 is so flexible and such a small diameter makes it a great cable to use for any type extender. This viewHD is of great quality all around, pictures quality is awesome.

Excellent picture in sound over Cat 5e
I am very happy with the quality and design of this unit. It was simple to install and allows me to share a DirecTV receiver in another room in the house. The ir transmission is fast with no lag. One of the best features is the POE that other units do not have. I highly recommend.

Not working for me
Can't get anything to show on my tv when I use this. TV works just fine with an HDMI cable plugged in directly into it.I flipped the switches for every distance it would support, but no luck.

Audio dropping out after 3 months use
well, after about 3 months of use, it is now starting to drop audio packets from the loop out hdmi port to local display. I wish this wasn't the case as I'm primarily local display instead of the extended one, which makes trying to play games or watch movies unbearable. I tried running different hdmi cables to source as well and no change. My only thought is the circuitry inside must be failing now as local cables to source is not dropping audio packets. If ViewHd wants my units to examine why this is happening, just let me know as they are pretty useless to me unless I unplug the unit and only plug in when remote displaying. Note, my secondary/remote display has no audio so I cannot test if that is functioning on that unit or not.
