These pencils smell so good. Got these for my son’s treasure box donation for his class. They’ll be really happy with these.

My kiddos absolutely love smells as much as they hate writing for school. So I got these smencils to sweeten their homework a bit. The scents are overwhelming for me with my migraines, but the kiddos love them, so I deal with it. The smencils sharpen as good as regular pencils. The shaft of the smencils seems just as firm and easy to grip as regular pencils as well. The erasers work very well too. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase. The kiddos do seem to enjoy using these. UPDATE: we’ve been using the Smencils for quite a while now—2 semesters—and while we still love them, we’ve discovered some problems. First, the erasers wear out much more quickly than the pencils themselves. Second, The tubes to store the pencils in (to keep the scent fresh) aren’t big enough for eraser caps, so that’s an issue. Thord, the metal eraser fittings (not sure what it’s called) loosen and eventually fall off—sometimes before the erasers is used up. The metal is *really* soft, so once the fitting falls off, it’s next to impossible to put it back on because it bends and distorts to the point of not being able to fit the pencil in the same hole. Even with these issues, we still really like the pencils. They still smell great—even one that was lost under the couch for 2 months without its tube (Kiwi-scent) after almost a year. If the eraser issue could be fixed, we’d be thrilled!

My boys used to buy these years ago from fundraisers at their elementary school. While Smencils didnt exist in the 80's, they remind me of the scented stickers and erasers we had in the 80s with their wonderful nostolgic scents. I am now 48 years old and I buy these for myself. No joke. I find it very comforting to use these. They hold their scent a long time and are a good quality pencil. Highly recommend for all ages!

FIRST THING TO FLY OUT OF MY TREASURE BOX! They smell good, sharpen well, and erase cleanly.

Funny how my 6 yr old knew about these and was so happy to receive them as a gift. I only knew of them because I had a school age kid that just had to have them. Great value, they dont break very easy, great variety of colors and smells. Easy to care for, meaning .. just put them back in their individual cases to make the smell last longer. The design of the case is great for kids to actually remember to return them to thier case!

なぜ人気なのかやはりわからない…小学生低学年の娘に買いましたが、胡散臭い匂いするだけで筆圧も力入るほど薄いし、筒状のケースに入れてないと匂いはすぐ飛ぶ。ただのお遊び鉛筆の割には高いぞ！

Bought these for my 8 year old daughter and she loves them. Each pencil has strong scent and it helps they are stored in individual tubes to retain it. Not cheap, but a good way to encourage writing
