Ease of installation

A water filter is essential for any house using a private well as its sole water source. These filters catch "crunchy" iron sulfides, sediment, and odors that would otherwise enter the house water system.I am extremely impressed in the way that this brand intercepts iron compounds. Within a few weeks, the exterior filter turns an orange color as it filters dissolved iron and prevents it from entering the internal water system. The carbon element also mitigates dissolved gas odors and this fact makes the water smell fresher. Even though solid particulates are captured and visible on the exterior of the filter, there is no appreciable drop in water pressure. I replace these filters at 2-month intervals after noticeable discoloration appears on the filter exterior.

We have tons of water main breaks for the 100+ year old infrastructure, so put a water filter on because was getting settiment through the house. Changed out my old HD filter (white band) with this filter (blue band) and it hasn't missed a beat! The picture is after 1 week. Saves the wallet and works great! Ordered more for myself and the shop. Highly recommended.
