very helpful guide
I have not had luck with travel guides lately, but this one was perfect. Small, full of good info, maps, etc. I was able to really plan my trip perfectly as a result. I wish all travel books were this helpful

Great for pre-planning and useful while you are in Porto
A good starting point for planning your trip to Porto. It is worth checking out a few things online before you go. We found some museums were being revamped and there were major works in the city centre associated with the new Metro line (April 2023). Post-pandemic ticket and other prices had gone up too.The book is a handy size to tuck in a bag and look up while you are out and about. The map is OK. For buses, we found Google maps real-time data on our phone invaluable (bus stops and routes). The Andante card information isn't up-to-date - you can buy a tourist one at the tourist shop in the airport or at Sao Bento station. For day trips, it has some information on Foz, but nothing on taking a day trip on the train to Regua up the Douro valley (worth doing). However, a larger and more comprehensive guide would be cumbersome to take with you and this is great value for the price.
