Very similar to the police-issue Magnum range apart from that fact these are free from metal. The toe cap is made from a lightweight composite material, as is the zip and foot protection to the sole.Having worn police issue Magnum footwear in my youth, I can say thse are lighter, more flexible, more comfortable and have an insulating inner which keeps your feet warm in severe winter weather.They are waterproof and heat resistant to 300°C, anti-slip with a thick rubber well made sole. I can't make sense of whether this is a leather boot or a PU leather boot, as it says both depending on wear I read.The accompanying pamphlet is non-specific so I am unable to distinguish what in the pamphlet relates directly to this boot.The toe cap is very sturdy and rounded enough to fit smoothly around wider feet. The size does run a bit small, i suggest ordering half a size larger.An overall very good protection boot, but one which is currently priced much higher than the police recommended Magnum brand.4 stars if the price was more competitive.
